You get what you pay for
This stuff is expensive, but also works very well. My grandfather's 40 year old dried out, thick leather toolbelt needed some life brought back into it. I applied three coats waiting 24 hours between each one for absorbtion. On the 4th day I set the oven temp at 180, applied another coat of the dressing, and popped it all into the oven for 5 minutes. This allowed everything to soak in to the leather more deeply, and it looked old and crusty again. After taking it out of the over while it was still warm, I applied another layer which melted into the leather. After it was all cooled down, I took some extremely mild water-based leather cleaner and cleaned the leather, patting off the dirty suds with towel. (I had to wait until this step for the surface cleaning, because water soaking into the leather before it was waterproofed would have really damaged it). I set aside and let it dry for 24 hours. I applied one more very light coat of conditioner, and buffed out gently with a soft horsehair brush. I think the results speak for themselves. I highly recommend this product.

Best Leather Treatment Ever
I've used Pecard Antique Leather Dressing for many years. It's great for outdoor leather treatment. I use it on my leather jacket, baseball glove, soccer shoes, dress shoes, winter leather gloves, leather furniture, et al. You can use it on wet leather. I recently found a pair of dry crusty batting gloves I mistakenly put away wet. A little Pecards and they're supple again. I learned of Pecards years ago from an OG shoemaker who swore by it. Well I swear by it now. It's simply the best.
