LIP MATE PENCIL Lip Mate Pencil (03 Kaya Beige)

This little gem doesn't seem like much - but I can't do my makeup without it. It effortlessly creates a natural lip line that is undetectable yet covers imperfections so that other pigmented liners and lip color apply and look flawless. My everyday application is simply this liner and lip gloss. perfect for every day wear - whether chill, running errands, or glammed up to go out on the town - this is an everyday staple in my morning routine (even days I don't wear makeup). It just gives a little something to help look put together with virtually no extra effort.

I wish the color was slightly more cool toned but the quality is really nice! The taupe shade works to accentuate my lip shape by creating a false shadow above my cupid's bow and below my bottom lip. I blend it in with my fingers and it looks almost seamless. It also works as a nose contour. It lasts a decent amount of time on my oily skin.

I'm new to lip liners - this was the first one I've ever used. So I'm not an expert. But, overall, I was pretty pleased with it and it was what I was looking for. What I didn't want: I don't like lip liners that are darker than your skin color or lip color, which it seems American lip liners tend to be. I wanted either to blur the edge of my lips visually to do the Korean lip look, or to overline but in a natural-looking way, and their shades were about right to achieve that for me. Namely, Taupey shade was good for my skin tone if I wanted to try the Korean gradient lip look, and Fig Breeze was pretty good if I wanted a gentle overline. The only thing about Fig Breeze is that it's still somewhat pink compared with my natural lip color, which is more muted. It was still pretty useable for what I wanted. For more range and subtlety in lip shades, I was also considering Heart Percent and lilybyred, but at the time when I bought it, this one had the best price by far. Seems like the prices can fluctuate quite a bit though, because now this one is very expensive! The actual applicator is easy to use, I like that it's retractable and that the tip is kind of round and not too fine. The only thing is that it is pretty soft and creamy, so I think it could come off somewhat if you wiped your mouth with a napkin while eating, etc. But it at least makes for a pleasant and comfortable texture to put on. The size is good too, it's the size of any eyeliner or most brow pencils.

This works great. Long staying power. I can put it on in the morning and still have to wipe it off my lips at night. Simple enough to use as a liner/lip contour/lipstick. Doesn’t “smudge”, but can move and be blurred out. So cheap, and non drying. Loooove the colors. I wish I could buy them all.

I love this liner for a gradient lip look --the brush on the end really elevates things. However, two colors look pretty identical. Dovey pink (top) and fig breeze (bottom) are essentially the same. Don't get both.

If you purchased this brand as a three pack off TT. Fig Breeze is NOT the same color as the one included in the 3 pack. Was disappointed to see its much lighter but I like the formula of this liner.

I absolutely love the color, it glides on well, and it’s a good price. I have to reapply but I will buy again.

I really like this lip liner, it glides on and is blendable but has some stain to it. I have a double lip line so fine lip liner is a little difficult to use and doesn’t always look very good, but this lip liner makes it no stress!
