The Twelve Days of Christmas Paperback – 5 Oct. 2017

We have every peek-through book Britta Teckentrup has done and we love them all. As our baby is still an infant, we prefer the board books and this version of the 12 days of Christmas is stunning and fun. As always, the artwork is beautiful to look at and the story unfolds with the turn of each page or board! I highly recommend.

This illustrator makes books that are just wonderful for children of all ages.

Lovely Children's book and a wonderful Christmas present

Lovely book to get started with the tradition of this song with our 3 year old.

We've been raiding the library for seasonal fayre, and after another version of this classic song (Jane Ray's is also excellent), this caught my eye, as I recognised Teckentrup's signature style. Flicking through I loved the cut outs that increased day by day as well, and we took it home.It's been a thrice-a-day read for the last fortnight now. My son is enthralled. Each day, the two little elves send each other gifts, and the new one is revealed in cut out on each page them remains for the following days in Christmas.You can count the gifts, the elves also are seen partaking in a wintertime activity often related (swinging from bells, ice skating, drinking milk when the maids go a-milking), and the colours and illustrations are undeniably cute.Very stylish, distinctive and, as evidenced by my child not even two years of age, addictive. Just be ready to read it again and again.
