What's not to love about this double walled flask?
I've been using this double walled glass travel flask for the last few weeks now and I really love it. As as a loose leaf tea fanatic this is hands down the best way enjoy your tea in style. The flask looks great, is robustly built, easy to use, and leak proof meaning you don't have worry about keeping it upright when you travel. To get the best experience I recommend NOT pour hot water straight from the kettle into the flask, but instead letting the water cool. This way you will avoid scorching the tea leaves or risk cracking the flask (remember a rapid change in temperature will cause the glass to crack, because it will expand beyond its tolerances!) Being double walled this flask requires more care than its plastic counterparts, meaning falls from great heights might break the flask, however being glass means that it's non pourous and will not retain the flavour, aromas or stains of previous use. The handle on the lid, for me is one of the best features, being terribly clumsy it means I have something to aim for and insures that I have it securely in my hand when picking it up. The strainer compartment is a good size and keeps tea in one place, great when it comes to disposing of the leaves, which can be easily removed. Another added advantage is of this separate compartment is that the leave are not in constant contact with the water, great for teas like sencha's or Jasmin tea which requires less steeping or infusing. Overall I've really enjoyed using this flask, I've had a number of glass double walled flasks in my time, all over which I've broke, and so far this one is doing a fanstistic job. That said I will be getting the Nylon sleeve. When deciding which to get I couldn't decide between the bamboo lid or the handled version, but I definitely happy with my decision.
