I use these for a lot of my leather projects. Rifle scabbard straps, purses, belt loops, etc...

The blank was consistent in thickness. If used as a belt the belt would just stretch. From now on ordering on person at Tandy. The belt is useless gonna just use for straps. Not gonna do that again.

Thickness was bad for belt use.

I've bought leather straight from this seller before (not on Amazon), so I expected this would be the same quality I'm used to from them ... wrong. I ordered 1" wide, 52" long. The piece of leather I received is about 1.5" wide and has a long score line down one side. It is also very damaged with lots of very deep scuffs (nearly looks cut in some spots) all along the leather.I love ELW's vegtan leather, but from now on, I'll stick to ordering directly from them. Now I'm off to try to return this, because I can't use it.

Works as a great thin belt. Or it could be a great whip for the bed room.
