Went on a trip recently. My friend had purchased the other viral red door lock. We tried out both locks on our hotel door. She had trouble getting her lock to fit and we struggled with it. We decided to try my door lock and it not only fit perfectly but it was easy to use. We even tried opening the door with it in the lock set up and the door didn’t even budge. Definitely gave us both peace of mind and she told me she would be returning her lock and getting this one. And for the price, it was definitely worth it.

The entry door to our place is surrounded by a steel molding inside & outside (similar to many hotel room doors), resulting in the portion of door surrounded by steel to be raised nearly a quarter of an inch. This being the case, the molding & door are not meet flush when doors shut, so the wings on the lock can not be screwed flush up against the door. Felt item wasn't worth returning since cost so little, gave to family member, works great on their door considering size. Appears to secure door well enough that would still keep door secured should inturder disable lock(s) on door. Door would have to be forcibly kicked in, in order for intruder to enter by that point, which would wake resident(s), to be up & ready to call law enforecent, and to defend themselves with force if need be.

I bought it but somehow this thing don't fit my back door so before you buy it make sure that will fit.
