Works Good, Quiet, Covers Large Area, Comes w/remote
I bought this to replace one of a couple Amish Heaters almost identical to this one. Both of which I gave to my mom. Less the Wood frame, this is more or less exactly the same, just way much more economical in price. I have been pricing these out at Northern Tool, Tractor Supply, and just about every where that sells these. And this was by far the best price. So far, it works exactly the same too. It's a very quiet unit when running too. You can set the desired temp with either the supplied remote, or on the face of the heater. Likewise the timer. Which is an 8 Hour timer. The casters make this very easy to roll around to any room of your home. This heater easily heats up 500 sq. ft. If you keep it on. What I have found in owing these type heaters is this. Once it turns cold, use your home furnace to break the chill, then let these babies take over. Not only will it maintain the temp, It will reduce your monthly utility cost dramatically. Especially for folks on gas and electric. Although I can't speak to the actual longevity of this unit in particular. Every one I have ever bought is still in service. And all of them are more than 6 years old. Just keep the back filter cleaned. Roll them so as not to drop them. And just take care of it. And it should take care of you. The price on this is far below the normal price range these units typically sell for, even on sale. So for quality and price, I would definitely say this a value. And I would definitely recommend it. Oh, final comment. The remote DOES NOT Come with batteries. So you'll need a couple of triple AA's. The Amazon basics are the best deal for keeping a cache of batteries stored.

Great heater with lower fire risk
I have had this heater for 2 winters and just bought my second one for another room. It effectively heats a sunroom that is all glass and therefore loses a good deal of heat to the outside. The heater has been reliable and has an accurate thermostat. Also, because the heating element is recessed in the cabinet it seems to pose a lower fire risk. I can stand directly in front of it without getting my pants near as hot as with the typical quartz heater. Also the shape and dimensions means there is almost no risk of the unit tipping over as the typical heater does. My cat uses it as a perch to sit on and then leap from as well as my most rambunctious dog frequently banging in to it as she chases around the room watching squirrels. The dog used to knock the quartz heater over at least once a day but has never tipped this one.

Works great, I bought three
We moved into a new house this past year and soon realized how drafty the windows are. The long term fix is to get new windows, but in the meantime these units keep the bedrooms warm at night. They work great in our medium sized rooms (12 x 13 feet or so) and the toggle to go to "low" heat level is great since running all three on "high" at the same time blows the breaker (our problem, not the heater). A few nitpicks: 1) The display is very bright and there's no way to dim it that I have found. So we put some electrical tape over the display so it's not lighting up the bedroom at night. 2) The beep when you press a button is loud and also cannot be disabled from what I can find. This bugs your spouse if you change something in the night. 3) I wish there was an option to skip the remore. I have toddlers and they're always finding it and changing settings. I solved that problem by removing the batteries from the remote, but it would be nice if I didn't have to buy the part with no intention of using it.

If you want heat, you'll get heat.
Wow! This heater is very impressive. It is much quieter than many. It heats very well and I can see how efficient it is. The only issues I have so far (in the hour that I've used it), are not including batteries for the remote; 2xAAA, and for some reason the temperature I have it set at 65 degrees F; when my room thermometer is telling me 69.9 but the heater is still going strong...? It's starting to get a little too warm. However, this is a very nice heater so far, I just need to figure out the correct setting for my little house. I'd also like to add that it would be great if there was a selling to dim the display; the LED is very bright and may be disturbing of used in a room for sleep. I'm still waiting for this heater to lower itself, now it's 70.3 in the time I wrote this.

Perfect heater
We bought this heater to provide main heat in our home that we are renovating. The log home has no heat system and while we try and figure out what sort of heating system to put in, it was getting very cold outside. This heater is awesome. It's bigger than I thought it would be. I'm not good with visualizing actual measurements so if your like me, you'll understand this better....I'm 5'6", this unit comes up to the bottom of my knee. Its about as deep as it is tall and is 13" wide. :) I didn't realize the unit was on wheels, so that was a good surprise. It rolls beautifully on our hard floors. Just give it a little nudge with your foot and it rolls right out of the way. The remote and main controls on the unit are very basic. High, low and economy. And then you can set the temperature. We have the heater sitting in the center of our home and it provides enough heat to keep the house just right. It's heating about 1000 sq ft, with all the doors left open, set at 73 and on economy mode. The temp outside is about 48. But in the past few weeks it's gotten down into the low 20s. When it was that low, we put a little desk heater in our bedroom to help. I LOVE this heater and would recommend it over and over again. Oh, one more thing, always keep items well away from space heaters. The heater is warm to the touch on all sides but will burn you if you touch the area that glows where the element and fans are. The floor under the unit never gets warm.

Love this
Had this for 6 years now and going strong! Love it and honestly showed how great it is. Just take the cold out the air so we don’t run our baseboards all the time.

Excellent Area Heater
We use it in a basement play area, about 60ftx20ft. Without any additional conditioned air other than 2 vents from the HVAC, the basement seems to stay around 62-65F year round. I was hesitant about other people saying that this was oversold as a large room heater, but it heats up the room quickly, even when set to efficient mode (68F). I can't say how much power it uses, because I only turn it on as needed, however after 1 month of using it, there hasn't been a noticeable change in my power bill. It's not quiet, but not obnoxiously loud either. It has a fan, it pushes hot air, it does make noise. If you are looking for something super quiet, look elsewhere. The only very minor drawback is that the remote uses the same frequency as my volume button on my TV and whenever I turn up or turn down the volume, it changes the sleep mode setting on the heater. Not a deal breaker since I can just walk to the TV and change the volume there. Attached is a picture with the heater in the far north corner.
