This is used for multiple activities. I work at a gymnastics center and we use it with our 3-6 year olds for following directions. "Let's see how big we can make it without letting go!" "Who can put one foot in and one foot out?" "Everyone sit in a circle and hold on; we're going to 'row a boat.'" Does that help?

Use for younger kids only

Bought this to demonstrate a science concept for my 7th graders. They play hard and it didn't last more than a couple rounds. I think it would work well for younger kids but definitely not middle school age.

Exercise will having fun or watch and laugh!

Loads of fun and laughter for audience. I am 63 and first competed with my cousins in December. Whew what a workout! So far the band has held but I have seen one bust.
