R&F Handmade Paints 2-Pound Encaustic Bagged Pellets, Medium (825)

This arrived intact which is great for beeswax pellets., that isn't always true I love R&F, great quality- and amazon's quick delivery is wonderful so I only have good things to say!

Works as described. Sometimes I add more hard er to it depending on the climate and application.

This is a product I order over and over. It’s usually very light and loose pellets. This time however it was very hard…I’m guessing it’s stored somewhere warm and it melted slightly. Since I will be heating and melting it I’m assuming it’ll be ok.

As an encaustic artist this medium is a must for creating my artwork

Although it seems pricey to me, it does last awhile. And it's very pure and nearly colorless. Also, the pellets are easy to use because they melt pretty fast. (I have made my own encaustic medium before to save money. It's a time-consuming, messy process and doesn't re-melt as fast because it's one big lump.) R&F Medium is worth the money to me.

This product is supposed to be discrete pellets that are easy to pour. I have used this product before and was happy with it. Somewhere along the way this package was exposed to too much heat. Instead of pellets, I have a pretty solid two pound block of encaustic medium. If I had known, I could have just ordered medium blocks and saved myself some money. A fused block of pellets is pretty inconvenient.

Use this medium for all encaustic paintings. Good quality and consistency of product.

Love the easy use because it's already mixed with damar resin so one less step in making art. The price could come down some.
