We needed baby safety lock to keep our kitchen and bathroom cabinets secure, but really didn't want to drill holes or use adhesives that would ruin the finish.These do not harm the wood at all. They are super easy for adults to get in and out of the cabinets but keep our little ones out.They haven't figure them out and after using them a few days, they pay absolutely no attention to the locks. These are great! They were exactly what I was looking for. Easy enough so that I can still get into my cabinets when I want to, but hard enough that my littles can't figure it out. I ordered some of the hard plastic locking ones from summer infant and I had such a hard time getting them opened that I found I was leaving them unlocked all the time because they were too difficult and that just defeated the whole purpose!

These are fabulous! I am beginning a volunteer job helping to raise service dogs, and my house has to be safe for the pup of the moment. That means no access to things like cleaning supplies. These kiscords are very easy to use and keep the curious pup out of low cabinets, yet I can still get into the cabinets with no trouble. Terrific!

We ordered these because our 10 month old grandson has become "cabinet curious." Other cabinet locks we tried - the rigid plastic types - were not large enough to span the distance (6" or so) between the knobs on some of our cabinets. These Kiscords products do that easily, plus they're more convenient to put on and take off than the plastic ones. By the way, we used to use plastic locks when our own kids were very young, and those locks were plenty big enough to work on the same cabinets we still have today. The new ones are significantly smaller and more flimsy. Guess the manufacturers are saving a penny or two that way....

I was looking for temporary cabinet locks for my grandchildren's infrequent visits and these fit the bill perfectly. My normally inquisitive 14 month old grandson likes to pull on the handles but, so far, is content with that and the cabinets stay safely closed. I also like that we can take them along to our apartment rentals when we go to visit them.

We got these as a last resort. Our 9 month old had already pulled the stick on/magnet lock off all the drawers and had figured out the slide locks on the cabinets. We were at our wits end, and i figured it was worth a shot. They work great and he has not figured them out and it has been 5 months. They are easy for us and our older kids to use, even one handed.

I've installed many, many latches, and frankly, many times, the latches don't fit or work out, but these are just sooooooo simple, they are cheap, and they work!I use them on bathroom cabinets with small, round knobs to keep the baby out of cleaning supplies and first aid stuff.For an "everyday cabinet" like in the kitchen, I might go with magnetic latches, but like I said, the value and function of these is just tremendous.

These can be installed in seconds on your cabinets with knobs. After trying many different cabinet restraints these were the only ones that worked!Plus they are very easy to use on a daily basis.Your childs safety is the most important. Kiscords does the job!

We originally bought these because our cats not only figured out how to open the cabinet we keep their food in, they also learned how to get the food out of the cabinet and out of the tupperware we keep it in. After a few instances of them feeding themselves we decided we needed something easy for us to remove but strong enough to keep them out between meals. After some searching I came across these and thought they would work the best given the size of our cabinet pulls. I appreciate that you can shorten the length of the cord and while we haven't had them that long, they are so far doing the job.

They definitely work and require no install so perfect for traveling or giving to grandparents when visiting frequently. However, they take a few seconds to operate. So if you’re trying to go in and out of a cabinet frequently, say while fixing a meal, it’s definitely going to slow you down if you need to lock it each time. Given the design you can choose to leave it unlocked during that time and relock at the end.

Our son loves to get into his closet and play around and now he has a double door closet that has non functioning door knobs, so we knew we had to do something. This is awesome for keeping him out! Its also super east to unscrew and get into the closet anytime I need to, and I know he cant get in because I tighten it past what he is capable of undoing. Little tip: I did spray the threads with just a dollap of silicone spray since silicone is safe on plastic, let it sit for 15 seconds, and then wiped it off. This device is already easy to unscrew but that will just help keep it that way in the long term.

So far so good. These work really easy as advertised and are very effective at keeping the kiddos out. I like that you trim the cords so they don’t hang super long unnecessarily.

This product worked on a cabinet with knobs so small that other child safety locks came right off. Exactly what we needed.

These take about the same time as those plastic clamps. They were really well and quite frankly a genius simple idea. They worked perfectly for knobs. I have also made them work on my handles, by weaving it through both handles first and then back into itself. Now that was isn't 100% child proof. You can also buy these and get shoelaces that are longer and make these work between cabinet doors!
