I had several problems and tech support is impossible to get
This is my third attempt to leave this review. Seems I'm breaking some rules. I used a "recommended" sim card and startup was fairly easy. This was a reconditioned camera so plain brown box and no instructions. I watched a video to start and set it up. My first problem was the factory setting had it taking a video every 4-6 minutes even when there was no motion. I had to reduce the sensitivity to 35% and turn off some other settings to stop the false triggers. It was slow to connect even though this was in town with great 4-5 bars for Verizon, ATT, and T-mobile. I installed a higher gain antenna and raised it to 20 feet high but this did not help. Once it connected and while watching live view, it would disconnect and take up to a full minute to get connected again. I also have cheap, "off brand cell cam" and with the same sim card/carrier I have none of these problems. Before returning it i received a "new version from this same company that is a camo painted camera" and I'm also having problems with it too. Tech support is only though Email and they are only respond from 1 am to 4:30 am. The first time they sent the first message at 1 am asking for the serial number, I was sleeping but got a message at 2:30 asking if I had solved my problem or did i need more help. Next at 4:15 I got a message saying my case was being closed but to reply if I needed more help. At 6 am, when I woke up,, I sent the Serial number and re-asked my question plus informed them that I would not be replying in the middle of the night. I never heard back during waking hours. So I would say Tech support is,,,, "NOT GOOD"? . These cameras work great if your get a good one and have a lot of trail cam experience. Otherwise it might be best to wait a year or so for them to work the bugs out.

Best Option if There's no WiFi Available
We've been using Reolink cameras on our land for years now. So we're more than familiar with the brand, and the high quality of their products. The predicament that we had is that we needed more security coverage for an area of our land that wasn't really picking up a signal from the nearest router. So WiFi connections weren't going to work. Then we realized we could just stick with the cellular version. Which is actually pretty cost effective, when you look into how much the data-only plans work with the carrier (low-priced deals for things like security cameras or hunting trail cams). So you're not paying anything remotely like you would for even the cheapest prepaid phone. It was as easy for me to set up as it was for the traditional WifI and wired camera systems. While this was labeled as a refurbished unit, it seemed to work just as fine as a brand new one. So I'm not sure what (if anything) might have been wrong with it before. I just know that it works perfectly as we use it. Video clarity is good, and it offers us new coverage of an area that we otherwise had a blindspot in when it came to our security needs.

Reliable and secure. 4G surveillance camera.
I love railing products so I'm a little bit biased but this product is no exception. Unlike most cameras, this one doesn't use Wi-Fi. It uses a SIM card with cell service. It says it works with T-Mobile and that's what I used. For $10 a month. I was able to get a SIM card from T-Mobile that offers 2 gigabytes of data which is more than enough than I have ever needed for this camera. Even if I'm doing heavy like heavy access to the stream at fluent or high res resolutions. I'm still under the 2 gigabyte limit. So it's very affordable option for things like construction sites or new home builds where you don't yet have infrastructure like internet in order to connect to a security camera. As an added bonus. This is a battery operated camera and it comes with the solar panel so really is like an all-in-one kit. I love having the solar panel because then you don't need to worry about the battery running out or anything. It comes with a long length of cable so you can put the solar panel somewhat removed from the camera itself. If you want it to be more discreet than you know, something that has a camera with a panel right next to it. But the panel, even with only a few hours of sunlight a day, is able to keep the battery fully charged or charged enough to where you don't have to worry about the battery. The rail link app is updated regularly. It doesn't have any security flaws and most importantly rail link doesn't phone home to mysterious IP addresses that you don't want. In other words, your data is secure and you? Your privacy is your own. The app is easy to navigate and I've never had any issues. It loads quickly and it gives me alerts about as quickly as any of the other leading brands do. You can use a SIM card for with up to 128 gigs of storage on it so that you can record clips in the camera. It comes with 32 GB of built-in storage. Great night vision and the 2k resolution is really all. I need to read out faces and license plates and things like that. And the AI object detection is top notch. I have never been let down by rail link in this camera is no exception for the price. I highly recommend it. You can't even tell us refurbished.

Love this so far! Wish motion detection had a little more range.
I was looking to get a cellular trail camera when this popped up. My thinking was if a cellular trail camera is good a cellular video camera would be better. For the most part it is. I got a cheap data plan and SIM card so it only costs $10 a month and has a good strong connection. The video and sound quality are decent. The video is a little grainy at a distance, I have gotten better still images from trail cameras but it’s not bad. One cool thing this can do that a trail camera can’t is you can control the camera remotely. You can live stream anytime you want and the camera rotates 360° so you can see in any direction! My only complaints are…it’s white. Granted it’s not meant to be a trail camera but that’s how I’m using it and with a quick coat of camo paint it blends right in. The motion detection is not nearly as quick as a trail camera. Many trail cameras have very fast triggers and this is a bit slower. It also doesn’t have the range of motion detection that trail cameras do. It seems to pick up motion out to about 25’ where a trail camera in the same place will get 50-75’. Pros and cons for each but I really being able to live steam anytime I want.
