Excellent when applied properly
Anyone researching adult diapers or that needs to use adult diapers quickly learns the benefits of purchasing a premium brand like this as opposed to what you get off the shelf at the department store. That said, these work. The two primary complaints regular users have is leaks, and that these "air" versions are cloth backed, rather than plastic backed, and therefore the tapes do not stick as well. Debunk number one: buy the right size. Thats really self explanatory. Debunk number two: and perhaps this is too graphic, but you dont just slap a tape diaper on like putting on a pair of underwear. As you put it on, you need to FIT IT to the folds and shapes of your body to get the correct seal, then place the tapes geometrically to support the seal points, not just hold it on your hips. Debunk number three: The tapes work fine on these. Unless you overstress the taping point by taping too tightly, or unless the tape/attachment point is contaminated with oil from your finger or some kind of dampness or powder, these tapes stick just fine. And the best reason to choose the "air" plusses over the plastic backed? Breathability. Its tough enough needing to use adilt diaps. Purists will jump up and down and pound their fists that plastic backed are the best, but plastic doesnt breathe. So not only are you subjecting the skin on all surfaces covered by the diaper to thatever you use the diaper for, you are literally covering your skin in plastic, and it cant breathe, and therefore it sweats, and therefore you end up with a miserable rash. Use as directed, and you'll be fine.

Super absorbent and my favorite brief
I hope my review can help you decide whether this product is worth a try. As a special needs Momma I appreciate being able to read about others experiences with products. I have a 12 year old with medical needs that require ‘diapers’. We love these. These are pricey, but they can take overnight use and not leak - which saves me money and time in not having to deal with wet sheets and pajamas. They are great on super sensitive skin. They are ‘quiet’ and have a slim profile for a high absorbency brief. I also love that you can refasten the briefs - extra sticky tab built on top of the tabs. For reference my son is medium build, 4’10” and about 85 pounds. This size fits well and has a bit of room to grow.

An awesome underwear with one serious flaw
When it comes to managing incontinence, I want a product I can trust. I could technically use other kinds of protection, but I want to spend less time worrying about something silly and more time enjoying my life. There are a lot of good things with Abena Slip. Even with maximum absorbency, they are pretty discreet, quiet, and cost effective. Seriously even my wife can't tell I'm wearing them even though she knows very well that I need them. Which is why they are my daily drivers and I end up wearing between 3 to 5 every day. I know they wont leak that's of course one of the most important thing for a product like this but unfortunately many competitors miss the mark on that one. During the day, I can do anything I want, even hiking, without limitations and with their comfortable fit they give me confidence in any situation. They allow me to focus on what's really important. And at night, they provide me better, more restful nights of sleep. Now there is one bad thing, and honestly it's quite bad. I was really torn between giving 3 or 4 stars, but for all the reasons above-mentioned, I think these underwear are so important for my freedom that it wouldn't be fair for me to just put 3 stars. But the fact that the tabs can just fall off 1 time out of 4 is bad. Really bad. Abena customer service has been amazing, they even send me a free pack to make up for the issue but the fact that it keeps on happening is making me concerned about leaks, and I really really really really really don't want to leak in public. Thankfully it hasn't happened yet but a little voice in my head keeps telling me it's just a matter of time. I've been unable to change for close to 8 hours sometimes, and seeing ALL the tabs either fell or were on the verge of falling off makes me incredibly uneasy. That's not helping me build confidence at all. I've considered switching brands but honestly nobody seems to come close in comfort, breathability and pricing.

The Best
When a family member became ill and bedridden, we tried out lots of different adult diapers. The Abri-Form Premium diapers were at the top. Extremely absorbent, large coverage for a large adult (these aren't what someone would wear with regular clothing), no leaks, and soft on the skin. We used this brand for several months without any problems with skin irritation or breakdown, although a barrier cream would also be recommended for lengthy overnight use. This is the style that opens flat (best for bedridden patients) with tabs on the sides for closure. The tabs have a blue initial sticky layer and a white secondary sticky layer. If you're going to need to re-close the diaper, make sure to pull off only the secondary layer of the tab and then stick it back on the blue section. The initial sealing section of the tab is not meant to be resealable on its own. If you have a need to open and close a diaper many times, you might want a different brand for the day and use this style only for overnights.

Great at first, but problems after a few hours.
These diapers are very comfortable and highly absorbent, and were a very nice fit on me (I'm underweight, nothing fits properly). They worked very well at first, absorbent and no leaks or anything, and I have very heavy incontinence from a surgery I got two years back (I'm 18 now) that easily overwhelms cheaper diapers. Unfortunately, due to their cloth like backing, they started "Sweating" after a while, the outside getting damp and leaving anything it touched damp and smelling of urine. With some sort of waterproof cover they'd work fine, but on their own they leave clothes and blankets wet, which is no good. A shame, because they'd be a superb product otherwise. The other abena sizes still use a plastic backing, so they won't have this problem, I just wear smalls, which is a rarity among adult diapers, so I have to take what I can get. tl;dr Absorbent and don't leak, but the clothlike backing sweats and gets damp on the outside. Good product, could be better.

Best Incontinence Wear
Sturdy, super absorbent and available many sizes. Expensive compared to other brands but well worth the comfort to my husband and to those of us that have to deal with the mess of adult incontinence. Many other less expensive brands I've tried are not able to absorb the amount of urine adults output or hold a normal bowel movement and easily tear when taking on of off. You only use them during night time if you need to budget. It's well worth the price to me not to have to deal with accidents all the time.

Tabs Fail and Fit Changes while wearing
I have worn Abena Diapers for years. Sometimes my wife tells me the crinkle in the walk is too loud for regular plastic backed diapers that WORK SO WELL. So while my health issue flared again this July and I was back in diapers for 3 weeks, I tried these. They wore much quieter as the outside is kinda like fabric. They seem to hold a lot. HOWEVER, If you tape them on tight like I do the regular M-4's the tapes will simply rip off from the anchor point. Not where you taped them but from the manufacturing anchor point. This happens in bed just rolling over. I'm not talking about doing yard work. Just Sleeping. So I tried a solution to tape them on more loose. HOWEVER, the fabric seems to stretch as you wear them and if I tape them so they don't rip off in the night when I walk to the bathroom in the morning, I have to hold them up or they would fall at my ankles. As you can imagine, THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR HOLDING IN LIQUID. I am very very disappointed. I have read reviews that mention this DEFECT and just figured someone got a bad batch, but I don't think this is true. Too many people with the same complaint over a long period of time. I believe that Abena has not put enough time into development of this very nice very quit diaper. I will not buy again and when I need these again I will use the remainder of them with DUCT TAPE to keep them on at night. These diapers are way to expensive to have to use duct tape to hold them on.

Perfect Day/Night Diaper! Very Comfortable!
Great for a heavy wetter, don't need to change as much as I would need to with a pull-up. Will continue to purchase these from Amazon because they have the best price around. I do notice sagging, but with a diaper cover you will be fine. I use a cloth diaper as the cover and it took care of the problem right away. Doesn't do the best job at covering up smells, but absorbency is far more important. Tabs will loosen a lot throughout the day, so a diaper cover is almost required for a comfortable fit. I use boosters too, and that extends the time needed between changes. It's so comfortable that I barely know it's there, highly recommend.
