I'm so impressed with the quality and function of this PWS that I bought a 2nd one to use on the RV when we travel and a 3rd one as a Christmas gift for my brother. Assembly was simple and instructions were easy to follow. The sensor array has fantastic range. My display unit is roughly 150' from the sensor array and there are 2 interior walls and a exterior wall between the sensor array and the display, yet I'm getting 4 bars of signal. The display is bright and easy to read, even from a near 90 degree angle, so I'm just baffled by those reviewers that found fault with the display. I set my PWS to upload to Weather Underground and that function is working perfectly. Very, very happy with this product.

The price is well below the others I have found online and in my area. The remote senser is solar powered and seems to have plenty of battery for rainy days. I would think that data this unit stores would be ideal for farmers in controlling watering an crop growth. I haven't fiddled with the information that your phone or computer can read and evaluate like weekly or monthly rainfall. There are alarms for things like freezes, high winds or downpours. The color panel is a bit of a problem because you need back lighting in order to read it and the dimmer is a pain in the neck.It appears that accuracy depend on it being level and how can you do that atop a 20-foot mast?

UPDATE - INDOOR SCREEN IS DYING. Not sure what's going on but some of the data is fading badly. Unit has never been in the sunshine. Sometimes it's not even visible at all. Adjusting the dimmer doesn't change this.OLD REVIEW: Love the indoor screen, it is easily viewable and the dimming settings are nice. Fits right in on a bookshelf/desk. The power adapter was a problem with my first unit, so Vevor replaced it.The outdoor unit was real easy to install and activate. We'll see how it holds up. Indications seem to agree with weather stations around my neighborhood and quality instruments on the ground. No issues there. Direct sunlight, outdoor temp reading is still correct.The solar panel is a bit too small to stay on top of Pacific Northwest Winters. I may have to add a larger panel to get through the winters. I just had to pull the unit down and remove the battery for charging.I likely wouldn't buy again given the solar charging issues, but the rest of the instrument seems to be working well. I expect no issues during the summer.

The first thing that we noticed is how quickly that the weather sensor automatically sync'd with the base station. Then, while playing with different mounting solutions around the 2 acres, how well the signal did with some varying distances, some almost at the back corner of the land.Get it level and free from objects that can block the wind and its pretty straight forward. Seems pretty robust for something with moving parts plus there are a few different mounting options. I even clamped it to a T post on the barbed wire fence using only the parts from the kit, just to see how far of a range it had.The settings and some other pages are a little goofy but after playing with it for a bit it we figuered it out, instructions could use some help and clarifications.We haven't connected to the internet yet, hoping that is also a smooth operation and get it connected to WeatherUnderground.

All working and connected and uploading to Weather Underground and Weathercloud.Issues Encountered and Solved was Connecting to the Internet (Below is the solution)The wifi is only located in the 7 Inch TFT display (if wifi option selected). The weatherstation transmits RF to the TFT display and will work without the internet. To connect the TFT to the net you must have 1.) a 2.4Gig wireless router and know its password 2.) a separate wireless device that connects to the TFT display. The steps are1. Enable "connect mode" on wireless on TFT display, the screen displays you are connected (this mode lasts about 5 minutes then goes back to normal display. When configuing the TFT screen must be left in the "connected" screen and must be restarted again until you get the other steps done otherwise it won't connect when the main screen is being displayed)2. I used a windows laptop and with it's wireless I connected to the TFT display; after connecting3. Open a web browser on that laptop and enter 192.168.1.1 (this will connect you to the TFT config display- again, you must have TFT in connect mode screen)4. A TFT config screen will open on your browser; You can now config: With a drop-down find your wireless router and select5. enter router password6. put in you weather underground id and pin (must have already gone online and setup free account to get id and pin.7. put in you weathercloud id and pin (must have already gone online and setup free account to get id and pin.8. Save this info. This alone will save to the TFT display and enable it to connect to your router, and stay connected and synced to the internet and then automatically upload your data to these websites.9. I did all this and it didn't work so I repeated all steps above and it finally worked and has continued to work very well.all this info is in the manual, but my android phone just couln't display the config screen on a web browser (don't know why), so I used a laptop and got it to display on that.5 stars based on price and overall result.
