Been Putting Off Cleaning My Kitchen Drain For Sometime, Just Happend To Notice The Rothenberger Pipe & Drain Cleaning Coil So I Bought One. Well My Drain Was Worse Than I Thought, Black Gooey And Getting Nowhere. I Have A Hydration Bladder 2L Backpacks Water Bladder Pack For Outdoor Hiking Cycling(From AMAZON) So I Decided To Use It For Lubricating The Drain, Removed All Drain Fittings From My Double Sink & Just Leaving One Drain Pipe Going To The Outside Drain & This Had A Fall, So I Filled The Hydration Bladder With 2L Of Hot Water & Inserted The Rothenberger Pipe & Drain Cleaning Coil Minus The Brush First Then Offered The Hydration Bladder Just In The Drain Pipe. I Started The Push & Pull Of The Pipe Drain Cleaner And It Was Hard Going At First But It Slowly Became Easier. I Stopped The Water Then Withdrew The Pipe Drain Cleaner & Water Pipe. I Then Fitted The Brush & Restarted Everything Again. I Found Out That Their Is A Nak To Getting The Pipe Drain Cleaner Brush Around The Drain Fitting Bends, You Have To Rotate The Pipe Drain Cleaner Clockwise Slowly & With Slight Force Pushing The Pipe Drain Cleaner Into You Drain Pipe Bend, If You Try To Force It It will Not Go Round The Corner. Never Ever Turn Your Drain Cleaner Anticlockwise As You Will Unscrew Your Cleaning Brush In The Drain System. A Little Note I Disconnect My Outside Drain Because The Pipe Draining Kit Would Not Reach The Rest Of My Drain System Which I Washed Seperatly. The Way I Used The Water Does Make A Difference. I Think Rothenberger Could Make Water System In Their Next Model.

I used this to clear the kitchen sink and it worked reasonably well.You have to careful to wind in a clockwise manner or the brush will unscrew and block your drain! It was sometimes a bit of a struggle to do this without the coil fighting back!But it worked so I guess that says it all.

Brought this for our toilet that gets clogged way too easy. Plungers weren't working but this unusual gadget got the job done, only wish it was a tad longer. It's maybe not the most pleasant thing to use as it can get stuff stuck to it but it still saves the cost of a plumber.

What's the worst thing a pipe deblocker could do? Block your pipes? Say if that brush thing at the end breaks off really easily when it's deep in the pipe you're trying to clear and it gets stuck there making slight lag in drainage terminal blockage, that would be terrible, right? Right.

Plumber wanted to charge £300 to remove the loo and smash tiles to get to the block around the U bend of the loo. We bought this as a last solution to the problem. Within 10 minutes with the assistance of warm water, the loo was completely cleared. 100% would recommend, fantastic product.

I used this to clear a blockage of hair and gunk in a shower waste pipe. It is a wide aperture shower trap and this tool removed the blockage, which was about 30cm past the waste trap, on the first attempt.

Absolute rubbish. Doesn’t do anything it’s supposed to do. Doesn’t even fit down the plugs homes.

Looks like a handy tool for sink blockages which in fairness to manu is it's purpose. It's not meant for unblocking toilets. But I bought it to unblock a toilet. It didn't work. This may be because the coil works well in for a downward U turn, in that it can be pushed down well. A toilet has an upward U turn. When I tried, it just curled up on itself inside (don't know, couldn't see). The best thing to use on the toilet was an ordinary Plunger. This worked great on two separate occasions. Plungers work well for sink blockages too of course.
