“Little Pilgrim’s Big Journey” by Tyler Van Halteren has quickly become a favorite in our household. I’ve never seen another children’s book series like this—each chapter not only tells an engaging, beautifully illustrated story but also includes a summary that ties everything back to Scripture. It’s such a creative and effective way to teach kids about God while keeping them entertained. My kids absolutely love the adventures of Little Christian and his journey to the Celestial City. The story is captivating, and they’re constantly asking me to read “just one more chapter.” I love how it sparks their imaginations and makes them think deeply about their own walk with God. The summaries at the end of each chapter are a game-changer. They make it so easy to connect what we’ve read to real-life applications and the teachings of the Bible. As a parent, I appreciate how this series is both spiritually rich and engaging for kids. It’s not just a story; it’s a tool for helping my children grow in their faith and understand God’s love in a way they can relate to. I can’t recommend it enough for families looking to bring meaningful conversations about faith into their home. This series truly feels like a blessing!

This is the third book in the series and my kids ask for it every night! The story is so great for explaining the idea of salvation, Jesus, the devil, the kingdom of God, suffering and eternal life. I am so grateful for these books! And they are beautiful! They won’t hold up forever but when kids are using them that’s to be expected I think.

Very beautiful book with ribbon in it, and scripturally it is thoughtful. I got it as a follow-up to Joe Sutphin's illustrated Little Pilgrim Progress, as my littles wanted another adventure story. I would say from a literature standpoint it is of the modern simple persuasion, the sentence structure and development is lacking, it was not written in a way that made the text come alive. The pictures helped, but is not as much of my speed, BUT is very vogue right now, and very cute. Each chapter had questions and scriptures to look up and read, and so it was like a book + book study. From that standpoint it helps get some good conversations going, and overall they liked it. But as an adult, due to the lacking of the art of story telling, I actually had a hard time following what happened, this rarely happens to me as I have strong comprehension.

This is a really good book for children. My kids love it and they are very drawn to it out of all the children's books I've ever owned.

We adore this whole series! This was a great introduction to the classic story of The Pilgrims Progress. I am so thankful for resources rich in truth while also being age appropriate so kids can grasp big eternal truths.

What a sweet end to the little pilgrim trilogy! After finishing the second one my 7 year old said “I wish there was another that told how Christiana’s brothers did their jobs when they stayed behind!” Haha we ordered this one that night. The quality of the physical book is so good and the story is one we can return to over and over. I see my boys engaging with the allegory and making biblical connections. What a blessing that I get to use this beautiful tool to point them to Christ and sound Biblical truths.

Wonderful book. Illustrations are great. Have a 6 year old and 4 year old that absolutely love reading it.

I heard about these books from an online ministry and have since purchased all of the books in the series because I love the story retelling of the Pilgrim's Progress for children. The animation style is fantastic in this book but it also is easy to read for those just beginning to learn about God. My children love this book and they pass it around to each other and like to pretend to be the characters. This book has been used so often in my home I may need to purchase another copy. I really appreciate this adaptation of John Bunyan's the Pilgrims Progress for children. I definitely recommend this product!

Great for sharing the gospel with younger children as it allows for a wonderful narrative and also object lessons that are applicable to real life. Beautifully illustrated. Suitable for younger children too as parents can adapt the discussion questions at the end of each chapter. Makes for a perfect gift also!

All of this author’s books are astoundingly good. My 3 year old is on fire for the King after reading vol III, myself too!! I am buying whatever this author publishes. Order this trilogy - you WILL NOT be disappointed!

This is such a great book! It's the 3rd and final in the series. Excellent quality binding (but it will break if your child throws it 🥴), beautiful illustrations, and great chapter discussion questions to gauge reading comprehension and facilitate discussion. This would make a beautiful gift but is also great to have at home for a regular read aloud book.

Our kids LOVE these books, this is the third in the set so if you don't have the first two-read them first. This one is great too. It is written in a way that kids can understand and adults too-sometimes simply-put is better
