I am making custom party favors with Hot Wheels and these little boxes were exactly what I needed! Much cheaper than the clamshells.

I use these boxes to package small parts of items that I'm selling. They work very well when folded into a box. All the folds fit. When the box is closed, there is no bulging out. Even the edges are sealed properly. The flaps will lock as expected. Your items will not fall out. I'm sure they will fit hot wheel cars just fine. You should even be able to stack them and keep them well organized. The plastic is completely clear too and works well as a small display case. On delivery, they come completely flat and unfolded. Folding only takes a few seconds, no instructions necessary.

These are great but, I think I was shorted.

I got these to replace a large acrylic case I had storing various types of model cars from Hot Wheels to Disney Racers. Be very wary of the size, as these will fit the most basic standard cars, but not larger vehicles or a lot of licensed IP vehicles. For me, it did not fit most cars in my collection, essentially making them useless. If you have a lot of classic real world cars, these might work out for you.Aside from the size issues, these are pretty sturdy plastic boxes. They do not sit flat though, so stacking them would probably not work. Also while the material is pretty clear, it does get scratched up pretty easily.Overall, if you are looking for a cheap solution and assuming your cars are small, this should work out fine. If you have a varied collection and want a nice way to display them, look elsewhere.
