I bought this charger because I believe my new battery for my truck was dead. I let my truck sit for 4 months without driving. Opened the box, to find the product box, then pulled the unit out and lifted the handle. Plugged everything in after it was hooked up to my battery sitting on my deck. It took 5 hours to charge. Got the green light, then put my battery back into my truck. Truck still didnt start, but that has nothing to do with this charger. The charger did its job, plus it has multiple features and is a decent sturdy. Process of elimination to get my truck running again. I would tell you if you need a charger that works and works well, this is the unit for you. Costly but worth it.

The Schumacher SC1309 is a solid, reliable battery charger. It charges great and works well for both 6V and 12V batteries, and the 200A engine start feature is very handy for getting a car going quickly. Even with its power, the charger is still light enough to be portable, so it’s easy to carry around the garage or take on the go. Overall, a strong, dependable charger that’s convenient to use.

After a little bit of use, it has been a very straightforward charger to use. I have used it to charge a couple batteries as well as to help jumpstart a vehicle and it has performed those tasks very well. The size is very nice as well, it's quite a bit smaller and much lighter than my old Schumacher. Hopefully this one will last as long as that one, so far I am really liking it.

Biggest pos I’ve ever bought. Hook up battery and keeps turning off. Every time I’ve called I have gotten no help. Do not recommend

I’m out the battery charger 10 months ago I used it two times and on the third time it went up in smoke I was not miss using it it was just charging 12 V made a loud noise and then smoke started pouring out of it I did a lot of research before I purchased it I thought I was buying a good solid unit so I’m disappointed I wonder if Schumaker can repair it I know it’s not in warranty anymore but maybe help with repair or maybe a discount for another one I’ll take any help thank you

Product works as it should. However, the description says it’s for 12/24v batteries, but it is actually for 6/12v. It does say this at the top of one of the pictures. I often work on 24v systems so this is a bit disappointing. Schumacher does make quality products and this is a very nice charger.

Es muy versátil, carga las baterías excelente y trae modo arrancador

Llegó muy buen empacado sin ningún detalle. Hemos cargado muchas baterías y no nos ha fallado. La carga lenta si es muy lenta dependiendo el voltaje que tenga la batería pero fácil si se hecha más de 1 hora. El arrancador es muy bueno también, para una camioneta grande GMC sierra y con una pila con poca carga no la pudo arrancar. Pero en general este cargador se paga solo.
