I’ve been taking this for about 26 days. I find it mildly stimulating so I would recommend not taking it before bedtime. I take it with my morning tea. It’s nothing strong like espresso, but I notice a tiny boost after some time. I’m slow to wake up, so I enjoy this. It seems like this might be something you need to try long term to see larger benefits, but I have to admit that while taking this I’ve been feeling pretty good. I am already pretty aggressive about exercise, nutrition, hydration and getting enough sleep, so your mileage may vary. But yeah, I’ve been feeling pretty good. My energy levels throughout the day seem pretty good, too. Nothing overwhelming, but I feel good enough that I’ve ordered another bottle. I’d like to try this product for a longer time period and see how it goes.

Quite a bit of research, as the deeper I looked, the more documentation I found of the beneficial effects of cycloastregenol. The substantial body of reputable research is much more convincing than the usual dietary supplement. I suspect that the pharmaceutical giants R&D chemists have attempted to create an analog which they could patent, as was done with the statins from red yeast rice. Thanks to Nootropics Depot, we don't have to enrich big pharma. This standardized cycloastregenol, lab tested and manufactured in the USA is not inexpensive, but on a cost/benefit basis it is a bargain. I will be adding this to my supplement regimen and have reordered already.

Interesting supplement. Small capsules, easy to take. Didn't make me feel different but it's one to keep an eye on. I think it's fair to say that the listed plausible benefits are in two rather distinct categories. One is longevity—which you won't know until you get older; and one is mental focus—which you can judge in the present. As mentioned, I personally didn't feel different taking this. So that would leave taking it for longevity. For longevity, I think the cost is a little high at the moment. But it's also a new supplement. Beyond cost, however, I'd also like to wait for more research to come out on this supplement and telomere lengthening in general. Longer telomeres may hold the key to immortality itself. Telomeres protect your DNA from degradation when your cells replicate. As you age, telomeres naturally get shorter. Certain cells in your body like stem cells can express an enzyme called telomerase to re-lengthen telomeres, but most cells don't do this. Theoretically, long telomeres could protect your DNA from ever degrading, allowing your cells to replicate sans degradation forever. But while that is an exciting pie in the sky, here's a less welcome data point: certain types of cancer also use telomerase to lengthen their telomeres to keep themselves immortal. Meaning: No, lengthening your telomeres won't give you cancer. But if you HAVE cancer, taking stuff conducive to lengthening your telomeres might be giving that cancer extra fuel. I'm very happy to have Nootropics Depot paving the way for new supplements all the same. It's long been my most trusted brand for nootropics and supplements I buy out of pocket. But if you're on the bleeding edge looking at supplements as novel as this one, you likely already know how good Nootropics Depot is.

This contains 10mg of cycloastragenol per capsule. You know it's pure and the real deal due to NootropicsDepot's extensive lab testing (3rd party and in-house). There are plenty of other products out there that claim similar dosages of cycloastragenol, but for a premium product such as this, I'd rather be sure that what I'm taking actually contains my 10mg dose. I'm taking this for telomere and cardiovascular health. I'm around 2 weeks in, and can't say I've noticed anything so far. Overall - it's a great quality cycloastragenol supplement. If you're interested in specialized astragalus extracts (beyond your typical polysaccharide extract), this product is definitely worth considering.

As with many anti-aging supplements, you won’t see immediate benefits. The main point is to reap long term rewards from using them. Cycloastragenol is no different. On the plus side, I love Nootropics Depot and have used their products for years. They do everything right in the world of supplements, including batch testing and other quality control measures. The only downside of this supplement is the price. Unfortunately, a lot of the more cutting edge supplements are simply expensive to produce. So, you’ll have to decide if it’s worth paying based on the available research.

This is a small expensive 1-month supply bottle of Cycloastragenol. Both the bottle and the capsules are small and very easy to swallow. The hope is that this provides some anti-aging benefits! And it might, it's just hard to know for sure. When buying something like this you have to do the mental math to see how much product you are actually getting - in this case 10% of 100mg basically equals 10mg. Compare that to other products that are for example 99% of 5mg = about 5mg. That's assuming everything is absorbed similarly. I've taken this for about a week now, and though I don't notice any difference either positive or negative. However I don't expect that you realistically would notice much of a difference with something like this even if it is working. It might or might not be working, so the best you can do at least in the short run is look at the studies and science behind the product, as well as the accreditations behind the company and manufacturing process to ensure you are getting a quality product. The facility this is produced in is GMP certified in the United States, so that does lend some credibility. They also have an in-house ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accredited lab to test the quality of the product which is good, though I would prefer to know there is a bit more outside verification.
