Bright gold and easy to use
Lovely bright gold colour running through. A little grainy in texture compared to other coloured fondant, but easy to shape when warmed. It gave my cake a real celebration feel and held its form when shaped into roses. Nice contrast with red or black fondant.

Initially sticky but the closest thing to gold fondant I have found
MY daughter was turning 10 and wanted to design her own cake for her birthday party. After talking her down from a 3 tier wedding cake, she decided on a black and gold theme. I have previously tried gold fondants and found them to be dull looking, but a quick search and up popped this product. The images looked very shiny and i thought it worth a try. I would say you would need a few packs to cover a full cake but for accents it was more than sufficient (the cake I made used just over half a pack). When i first opened it I found it to be extremely sticky, seriously i thought i had purchased slime and had to read the pack to make sure it was the right product! It took a good 10 minutes of kneading between my hands and adding icing sugar before it started to develop into something resembling fondant, but once i had worked it, it was easy to roll and use. The finished result wasnt quite shimmering (i would imagine the stock picture had been brushed with alcohol to get the shiny effect) but saying that it is the closed thing to a gold effect i have found and despite the initial difficulty making it pliable I would purchase again if i needed to use gold again. The taste was also pleasant with no hints of off flavors.

Looked good
Bit pricey but looked really nice. Used this to make flowers for a birthday cake. Easy to roll out

Worst paste I have ever used!
This has to be the worst sugar paste I have every used in over twenty years of baking! The colour is nothing like it states - it's more orange! The texture was a nightmare to work with; it was like sticky dough! An absolute disgrace given the cost of it! I will not recommend or purchase again.

Great for moulds
Made some roses 🌹 in the mould and it came out easy . The fondant is soft so some people might want to add Tylo powder for a bit firmness

Its Good
Extremely sticky when you first get out of packet, but once kneaded with icing sugar it is fine Does not glisten like the picture though

fondant did not meet the advertised quality
Unfortunately, the fondant did not meet the advertised quality. It was extremely sticky and at the same time so stiff and resistant that rolling it out evenly was nearly impossible. Despite careful preparation, I was only able to use part of it. The promised copper sheen looks impressive in the product photos, but the actual result is far from it—those images appear heavily edited. Overall, this product was disappointing, especially for detailed projects where texture and finish really matter. Top: what the manufacturer advertises. Bottom: what I was actually able to create. If you'd like to add a touch of your signature wit or ethical critique—maybe something about misleading marketing or the importance of honest materials—I’d be happy to help you refine it further.
