Awesome Gimbal in it's own CLASS
As a music producer who shoots music videos of myself, this gimbal is invaluable! The AI tracker works amazingly, surprisingly, well and the ability to start/stop tracking and also reframe the shot with hand gestures is super clever! Doesn't matter if you have a wide or tight lens on the camera, you can frame the shot exactly how you want and the tracker will maintain that framing as you move around the scene. Simply amazing stuff! The built in light is also an great feature for shooting in darker scenes, but it's really only useful if you're up close to the gimbal like in a vlogging situation. No other gimbal I've seen has these two features built in. As a result, while the build quality and stabilization are not nearly on the level of the DJI gimbals that I've used, this remains my daily driver because it has features that are unmatched by the DJI gimbals (you need a raveneye, complex setup with an app, cables, etc.) I also tried the native panasonic s5ii tracking with the dji rs3 mini over USB-C, and that still didn't work nearly as well as the Hohem iSteady MT2 tracking. The tracking struggles a bit in low light situations, and also in heavily backlit situations. I'm guessing this is because it uses a tiny built in camera. Otherwise in 90% of situations it works well.Build quality is not great, the scroll wheel on the left side came loose and i just removed it.Sometimes calibration gets off and needs to be recalibrated frequently, fortunately this only takes a few seconds with five presses of the mode button and doesn't require an app. In fact, nothing on the gimbal requires an app to use which is a huge plus.As stated before, the motors aren't as strong as something like a DJI ronin sc or rs3 mini. That said, the stabilization is sufficient especially if you're using it in combination with IBIS or lens IS.The gimbal is easy to balance and the axis locks work as expected.Overall this thing is great, and I hope it pushes DJI to incorporate the built in lighting and AI tracking features into their gimbals. Until then, I will continue using the Hohem!

The best gimbal for the price hands down.
I've used several gimbals since they first came out. I used the Ronin S and was quite satisified with its performance. But, the Hohem iSteady MT2 cost half as much and yet not only stabilized the camera, but came with an AI tracking device that works perfectly every time. Although the Ronin S was very good. It did not even have a tracking device to make it as flexible as the MT2 is today. Setting up the camera and gimbal with my Sony FX30 was quite straight forward and easy. With the AI tracking, I was able to use it in ways that most other gimbals fail to achieve. I highly recommend this gimbal.

Doesn't work with phones, or cameras
It won't stay level no matter what I do. The gimbal is more balanced when it's off. The moment you power it on, it loses balance just enough to have footage, which is clearly not level.Awful design, impossible to balance, and poor instructions. There isn't a single good thing about this gimbal. Even the AI tracker comes without instructions, so the gestures are "who the F knows?"

AI Tracking can be reframed
UPDATE (11/10/2023) I'm leaving the original review below for reference. After posting a video about the AI tracking failing, someone commented that it wasn't broken, it just needed to be reframed. You have to put both hands up with your thumb and forefinger out like you're framing a photo. The AI light begins to blink green. Then you reframe the image using the gimbal joystick to where you are centered and then hold up the gesture again and the AI locks in that position.Meanwhile, I had an email sent to Hohem's customer support. They read my email, watched my video, and then responded, asking me to take a few steps to reset the AI tracker piece. They offered to replace the unit if these steps did not work. I add this in here to add assurance to anyone looking to purchase that they do indeed provide support. I won't need a replacement as I figured out the problem I was having from my original review. It is a great gimbal.Original review --The AI tracker feature aims too low. My gimbal is all weighted correctly and I used a Fujifilm X-H2 with a 13mm Viltrox lens and I used an iPhone 15 Pro Max and both of them would aim right at my chest when I activate the AI tracker. It's like I need to calibrate the tracker. However, I can not find any documentation or help in making the AI tracker aim higher. My head is cut off in all test footage I've tried. The only way I can get my whole head in is to back way up, and that is not how I wanted to use this gimbal. Unfortunately, I have to return it.

Great Gimbal, but it wasn't for me
I bought this to try with my CALF VR180 but ultimately didn't go with it because the light was in my 180 view, and for various reasons went with the Zhiyun m3s instead, but really liked the MT2. It just wasn't better for my camera.Pros:Solid Grip and positioningAmazing AI trackingFolds nicelyLightBattery life(Personal preference, Black color, Quick Release clearance for camera door)Cons:Not as refined performance as ZhiyunLoud Beep on Power on and OffJanky MenuLight is Low BrightnessLight button clicks¼ screw placement (Visible - mic and side light for vr180)Needs rebalancing after off and on quick release
