After an accident left my spouse temporarily in a wheelchair, this transfer board really helped with moving between the sofa and wheelchair and into the car for rehab visits. Very well made with good grip handles for placement. The varnish coating held up well but did get dinged up over the six months of hard use. That is to be expected with the daily use it got. No splinters or cracks ever developed and it was a total game changer during this phase of recovery. Being the carer, this was easy to use and a total back saver.

Husband is wheelchair bound so we use this board to transfer when we are not at home exclusively. We get the shortest version with two hole at each end. Which works the best for us. Pro: The end have a little tile make it a bit easier to slide under his butt. The material is smooth is you put a layer of cloths for transfer. The shortest one fit in a big check in suitcase and the length is not wider than a wheelchair so I can hand the board behind his wheelchair. So it is very portable for travel. Material is strong, does not feel like it will bent and that gives me a peace of mind when transferring. Con If transfer on bare skin, the material can drag the skin especially if the skin is wet. But I guess that’s the same problem for all board. Not just this board. Get dent at spot that touch other hard metal very easy compare to plastic board. But we abuse the board on hard surfaces a lot. So I cannot complain too too much.

My dad is a recent amputee and needs this board to transfer from chair to bed and vice versa he loves the fit and comforbility he say its just like the one he uses in therapy were happy with this purchase

This item works great for transfers. The length was great and the finish makes it easy to side across. If you are looking for a transfer board, this item is one that I recommend.

Larger than I anticipated but will definitely do the job! Very sturdy and long enough you could transfer over the Grand Canyon! LOL!
