Quite nice.
The swords & sorcery campaign I created is based on Romanized Britain, so of course I needed some Celts. The plastic model industry really helps with this sort of thing. What I really want now is orcs with crossbows, preferably at least 20. I already have three boxes of "Dark Alliance" warg-riders. I am painting the wargs like spotted hyenas. You get 40 of these guys in Italieri No. 6022. Assembly is necessary. It's all swords and spears, but shields as well. There are no archers or slingers, just infantry. They look bare-chested, so a good painter can fine-detail tattoos on their chests. Alternately, one can print tattoo decals on blank decal stock using a computer printer, provided your printer does very fine dpi (dots per inch). They look thoroughly annoyed, so painting them as berserkers is probably the way to go for miniatures gaming. Assembly is required, as in every case, the shield is a separate part. So are spears in those cases.

historicaly accurate
These figures are about as detailed as you can get at this scale & they come in some wonderfull action poses. These gauls are celts that lived in france and can be added to the ancient britons to bulk up your army just paint them with blue wode war paint & they fit right in with the brits. You could paint them with their hair dyed red and with red war paint and they would make great tuetons or ancient germans. All in all I think they are great and will meet your modeling needs excpecially if your making diaramas of anctient battles. I wish the made trees and other buildings to go along with the warriors Im just going to make trees out of the ends of branches and glue pieces of sponge on to make trees If the battle happend in fall they will be fun to paint green, orange, browns & reds & yellows. I'll just have to build houses and carve a castle out of packing foam plates. they sell textured paint that will work well for stone castles.
