Artisan Owl Forged Metal Triangle Chuckwagon Dinner Bell with Hand Cut Leather Strap - Rustic Western Style Hotrolled Steel Bell for Outdoor or Indoor Use

Looked long and hard for 8 to 10" triangle dinner bells at lowest prices for quality. Got 5 of these and 5 of Textport ones (LOVE)--on Amazon. Both models have great sound. Liked the more elegant striker on this one. These forged metal triangles are 1' shorter than the Texsport: still very nice and I will keep all for holiday gifts. Only issue with this one is packaging (dirty and ugly). I had to soak and scrub (in sudsy water) each of these, then dry and gently oil down, then dry. Maybe 'cause these are "forged metal" as opposed to coated metal (Texsport ones). NOW they look great: The short leather hanging strap looks like it will not break easily, but haven't tested beyond a few clangs. Other comments on coated metal ones noted some paint chipping over time. No paint to chip on these, so the extra labor cleaning and repackaging (for gifts) will be worth it. The triangle is slightly thinner than the Texsport. Still, I'm very pleased with both products (can't decide which model to keep for us). Indoors OR out, they'll look and sound great!

Works well in outdoor environments!

Bought one as a gift for my sister. Entered the wrong shipping address, they helped me get it to the right address quickly after I paid additional postage. Great customer service. She liked it so much I bought one for myself. It came in 3 days through regular shipping. It is about 8 inches on each side and looks very rustic and solid which is what I was looking for. Has a great sound, very loud. It does come oily as the description mentions and you have to clean it off. Great dinner bell for a good price. Very happy with this purchase. I'll be calling the kids home from the park for dinner with this now!

When I was a kid my parents had one of the really heavy and old fashion one's. It was super loud. This one is not so heavy or loud, but it does the trick. Now if my kids are riding bikes up the road or out back in the woods I no longer have to yell like a hag to get their attention. It carries farther than my voice can too.The one we had as a kid we just held by one of the corners and rang it with the bar. It completely vibrated your arm, but the sound was still very loud and carried far.This one is smaller so if you try to hold it by the corner and ring it, your hand will muffle the sound. You have to hold it by the strap when ringing, and the strap feels pretty flimsy. When I hang it on a peg by the door for storage, I always hang it by one of the corners and not the strap so that the strap will last longer. If and when the strap does break I will just replace it. No big deal.

I was really happy with the size and sturdy construction. We use it to 'ring' in the pigs for dinner. The sound is load and clear. Perfect!(An error on my part was not ordering the mount, but we made it work)

It's as neat and original as it looks. Purchased this as a gift for a friend that decorates their home in Old West memorabilia and cowboy antiques.The photo doesn't do justice on this item - as the iron is quality and thick - and it has a great, authentic dinner bell sound when you ring it.I'm really wishing I'd have bought one for myself - it's so cool.

Although the catalog listing stated its size, it was smaller than I thought. The bell was not very loud. Replaced it with a large steel pipe which was free and very loud.

This product is very nice. It has a rustic, yet elegant look. The resonance is amazing. I use it to call in my dogs from outside when they’ve wandered a little too far. It works great. I’m so happy with this purchase.

Hung it up outside…. Started to rust after the second week….
