This mouse is perfection defined in every aspect of the word. I own at least 30 gaming mice, and I have the 4 mice I've found to be best previously that I leave on my desk: 2 modded G Pro Wireless Superlights, a Hati-S ACE, and a Zowie Divina S2, and I have yet to plug any of them back in since buying the Pro V2.

Love the mouse for $60 (when I purchased it). Great nd reliable mouse. Sensor is precise with no noticeable hiccups, size and shape feel good in my hands, scroll wheel is smooth and quiet, and clicks are not quiet but not terribly loud. I have had no issues, but read below for a little lore drop: I had the razer viper ultimate for a while. Eventually, the encoder and rubber sides wore out beyond my liking, so I decided to look for replacement options. I tried another brand, but it had terrible sensor issues that made playing any game that relied on aim a mess. Moving the moude too fast would cause the tracking to stutter and micro movementd were not smooth but seemingly static (movements too small would not get tracked, essentially). It was frustrating. Assumed it was a QC issue, so I managed to get it replaced, but did not have any luck--different mouse, same issues. I gave up and looked back at the Razer and saw that the predecessor to the viper v3 pro, which was the mouse that I had been wanting, was on sale for $60. Even though it was no v3, I settled on the v2. So far, it's been nothing but amazing, especially after my previous experience with the other brand.

I bought one and it was terrific, a wonderful mouse to use. So I ordered a second. Took a while before I used the second one - it worked fine initially with a nice soft and flexible wire. But with use the wire started twisitng like old telephone coil cables used to twist. The wireless feature did not work - something must be wrong with the dongle or maybe the communications between mouse and dongle. After many interactions with customer service I learned a) a replacement dongle is not available for purchase b) there was something wrong with my initial setup of a Razer account or with my product registration. c) Ultimately I was informed that the purchase (from Amazon) was not through an authorized dealer so I should contact the dealer for support. d) The customer service is ridiculous. Each sappy email about understanding how you feel comes from a different name. Then you are asked to submit information that might take some of your time to respond, yet the next day or two another email arrives saying that they will close the case because they had not heard from you... e) Razer managed to take an enthusiastic buyer who bought two of these mice and would buy the new update, and was willing to purchase a part rather than look for warranty coverage, and turn him into someone who will likely never buy another Razer product ever,

(TLDR version all the way at the bottom) I bought this mouse like everyone else from the reviews alone. On receiving it, I immediately noticed the weight difference. Was quite excited for the 80 hours of battery life too (got about 74 hours before needing recharge). It lacks grip, but the material isn't smooth (still good quality.) Although it comes with replaceable stick on grips, I don't believe you need any. My one and biggest complaint is just awkward to hold. This could be entirely because I was using a much larger corsair mouse with wings on both sides and got too used to that, but this mouse just seems too small for big hands (which I didn't even know I had in the "mouse world"). It's long enough to cover my palm, but not tall enough for good finger placement. With fingers brushing against the mouse pad, quick left and right movement is difficult to do. Additionally, the mouse I previously had, had a much higher polling rate which was also immediately noticed too. I highly suggest getting razer's 8000hz polling corded mouse over this one (it's also much much cheaper) if you're just gaming at a desk with a desktop or similar. The dpi and settings are customizable and changeable, but the button on the mouse to change dpi is located on the bottom which makes it rather difficult quickly changing when going from camping to on the run while fps gaming. Overall if you have a smaller, or maybe even medium size hand, this mouse overall is great. Good material quality, fantastic battery life, barely weighs anything, extended usb port for minimal cordless delay. It's just awkward to hold, the dpi button in a weird placement, and the polling rate isn't impressive (1000Hz)

Not a huge gamer but I'm sort of picky with my mouse feel and size. I tried a few different mice and my previous main mouse was the Glorious Model D, both wired and wireless. It's been a great mouse but I found the wireless version battery doesn't last more than a day and it's been "wired" almost full time. Started to be frustrated with all of the cables on my desk and tried to find another wireless that fit my hand but also wasn't super heavy, low latency and had good battery life. From the reviews, the top gaming mouse was the Logitech G Pro X, very expensive but I wanted the lowest latency possible. While the performance of the Pro X was great, the body feel was very cheap and almost like a plastic Easter Eggshell. The body also felt too slick and combined with the extreme lightweight just didn't vibe with me. For work I have a Razer v1 Viper wired, it's good but the buttons feel slightly mushy, so I didn't check Razer for a gaming replacement at first. Later I ended up buying a Razer v1 Viper wireless, and looks like they fixed the buttons, they were very snappy and the latency of the wireless was almost the same as the wired. After such a positive experience, I was going to buy another v1 but with the news of the v2 coming out I held out. From the first out-of-the-box experience with the v2 Viper, I first noticed they removed the dock and there's no longer any quick charge ability. Honesly, this isn't a big deal, if you need to charge the mouse, just plug it in, and use it. With the dock, it's sitting on the stand, taking up space. The mouse is now USB-C which is nice, comes with the same very flexible cable, and the wireless dongle has a nice extender where you can have sitting as close to the mouse as possible (reduces latency). What's the biggest change on the mouse? It's very noticeable of the weight reduction, it's about 12g of difference, but at 58g, it still feels very solid (much better over the Pro X). The body of the mouse is the same as the other Vipers, it's slightly rough but doesn't feel cheap, fitment is great in my medium hand. It is worth noting Razer had to remove a few features of the v1 Viper in order to reduce weight. One thing is it's a solid black mouse, I love the new look. The only indication of any LED's is a very small dot right below the mouse wheel, this indicates the battery charge. There's no other LED's on the mouse so keep that in mind if you're looking for matching the keyboard. Another change is the removable of the right side "thumb buttons". The v1 Viper allows for right and left-handed use, but the v2 Viper only has the buttons on the left side (for the right handed user). A nice bonus is the included grips (four pieces, two side stickers, two for the buttons), these are very grippy type of rubber. While I haven't owned the v2 Viper wireless long, it has great latency on the wireless side and with the light weight doesn't feel any more than my wired mice. The pricing is a bit steep but it's on par with other high end gaming mice, I would choose this over the other brands based on the Razer fits my hand the best and has the best click feel. Downsides? The biggest issue is the auto-installer for the Razer software. I'm sure the software is not too bad but having the prompt every time is frustrating. I often use a Razer mouse for my work laptop and given the security issues, prefer to not see this app auto-execute.

This thing is amazing for the price I came from a G Pro and started to get hand cramps due to the shape, bought the Razer because it’s flatter design. This thing is also extremely light, lighter than my G Pro without the weight. I use the mouse for work and then gaming and it’s noticeable how much more comfortable my hand and arm feel after long hours. Buttons are sensitive, but not too crazy. It does feel lower quality than the G Pro but that’s probably because of how light it is and the texture on the mouse to prevent sliding out of your hand. I’d absolutely buy it again.

Got it for $50 to replace my Deathadder V3 wired. It’s kind of a sidegrade, since they both use the same sensor, but the shape, the fact that it’s wireless and overall package do feel like an upgrade. Light, well built, good battery (not S tier, but A- at least). Does feel very nice on my hand with my relaxed claw grip style, specially with the rather nice grip tape included. Razer optical switches are great (another similarity with my DAv3, I’m no stranger to these). It’s all that you can expect from a top tier mouse. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything from the V3 or other options that are well over $150. It may be “old”, but on a discount it’s like 95% of the experience of those mice for a fraction of the price.
