Excellent service/ good product
We are using the Rhino to feed cattle this winter but the wind chill gets bitter cold on 0 degree days. The website said the windshield wouldn't fit our 2012 Rhino Special Edition so I thought it might take some modifications to make it work but went with the purchase. Power Sports shipped fast and the windshield was setting on our door step in just a couple of days. The installation instructions could be improved but the only mistake that caused more work was using pan head screws where it called for them to mount the brackets. The correct screws to mount the brackets are the cap screws which are included in the packaging. Once I corrected this problem all the parts and screws were there in the required quantities and the completed installation fit very well without any modifications. As other's noted, the windshield does rattle at low speeds or when crossing rough ground but weather stripping foam tape stops the rattle. Despite the poor instructions and the rattle I gave it 5 stars.because it seems to be well made, fits excellently, was easy to install, and I haven't had a bitter cold ride since.

... appears to be a very well designed and incredible sturdy windshield. HOWEVER
I gave the Kolpin windshield 5 stars because it appears to be a very well designed and incredible sturdy windshield. HOWEVER, I GIVE THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS A NEGATIVE 5 STARS. THEY ARE WORSE THAN "HORRIBLE". I have built all kinds of things in my 72 years on this earth and thought I had experienced it all but this one is in the top 5 of the worse jobs I have ever done. You've heard the saying " A picture is worth a thousand words". I wish I had 4 "REALLY GOOD" close up pictures of how the Kolpin windshield is supposed to go on my Rhino. The pictures in the installation papers are "totally" unless. I still can't figure out part of the installation!. Either the top bracket that it hinges on is molded poorly or I'm going to have to lube it or ???. Most "great"companies with wonderful products like this one have a YouTube video or a video on their website to help with the installation of their product but not Kolpin. NADA.....NOTHING! In this day it is inexcusable. I found one YouTube video of a guy singing its praise when the windshield didn't break after rolling is Rhino in the snow. Freezing many of the frames of that video helped just a little in how it went together. There are SO SO SO many helpful things Kolpin could do to make installation a breeze but it isn't available. The best thing you can do is find a friend who has this windshield. Once you see how it goes together and works is really very simple. I WOULD HAVE RETURNED to Amazon but I had already started the installation proooooooooocese. It least I had (still have) had an opportunity to grow my patience. :). If you don't like frustrating puzzles stay away from this mystery. I doubt that Kolpin reads these reviews. In case they do I would be more than happen to bring my iPhone and laptop and help you produce a "USEFUL" installation guide with pictures that would be helpful. It wouldn't take 4 hours tops. Good Luck to anyone who buys this. I am looking for roof for my Rhino and I see Kolpin has one. I think I'll stay away from Kolpin Products from now on. Too bad it looks pretty good. One last thing. This windshield will not fit on aftermarket cages. I had to trade off an aftermarket HEAVT DUTY roll cage for the wimpy stock roll cage from Yamaha so I could use this windshield. I guess read the fine print if it was ever there. I'd submit a couple pics to help potential buyers but I'm still not sure I have it completely correct. I should have stuck with just using my good ole horse "BLUE" to go out on the trails.

Great product, Installation Instructions a Little Sketchy
There is no way to safely operate a Rhino without eye protection at speeds over ten miles per hour, due to bugs and other airborne debris flying in the faces of passengers. We haven't found a practical way to protect our grandchildren with glasses or goggles, so the windshield is a must. In hot weather, a full-coverage windshield without a kick-out feature is also essential, not only for comfort, but to preserve the "off road" experience. My research led me to believe that this product is the best solution for the money.I found the construction and quality to be well above my high expectations, but had to do a double-take on some of the installation instructions, including correcting a miscue where I installed both Lexan panels backwards because there is no description or clear picture showing which way the curved edges are supposed to go. Not a big problem to correct, since it can be done without having to remove the brackets on the ROP structure. I was surprised at the recommendation for the employment a torque wrench that is calibrated down to the 5 foot-pound value specified for most fasteners, but am confident that my installation without one worked fine (there is a description of how to tell when the approximate torque value has been achieved). If you have a Rhino and care about your eyes, you need one of these Koplin Windshields!

Nice windshield for the Rhino, very happy.
Got this for our 2009 Rhino. I was very impressed with the hardware. It fastens very securely to the windshield/roof post. The cut-out on the bottom fits the hood well. Took maybe an hour to put it on but I took my time. The "glass" is good and thick. I keep it open on the first notch and drive around at 35-40 mph over bumps and doing donuts and it did not rattle, move, or otherwise complain in any way. Its nice to get some air through it when its hot, but still be able to close it. I really like the design and am very happy with everything about it. It cost more than the others but I think I got my moneys worth, it should provide years of good service.

Good Windshield
I installed this on my 2009 Yamaha Rhino. It fit well but as mentioned in the other reviews the installation instructions are not great (they look like photocopies of photocopies, very hard to see the photos). The bottom half of the windshield easily installs, the top half brackets install completely differently and that's likely where everyone has difficulty installing. It suggests 30 minutes for installation, I'd say it took me closer to 1 hour. It is high quality and did open and close easily enough (using two hands otherwise it kind of binds).

READ THE DIRECTIONS SLOWLY
READ THE DIRECTIONS SLOWLY. As others have stated, the directions and pictures of parts leave a little to the imagination. If you go slowly, they are not that difficult. In the completely down position, there is a vibration "rattle" where the two pieces sit on each other. This is the only thing stopping me from giving it a 5/5. Overall, seems to be well constructed. Like all things made of plastic......time will tell. I definitely makes driving my Rhino a lot more fun in the winter.
