FURTHER UPDATE! Replacement locking clamp assembly arrived as promised. After a rocky start, Costway came through and were as good as their word. I am a happy customer! UPDATE! After a bit of a battle, Costway finally contacted me, and are replacing the missing part. I am happy to now give five stars. The roof box is excellent and very well designed. Strong and sturdy and an absolute doddle to fit. Takes 2 minutes! AMAZON NEED TO IMPROVE THEIR “CONTACT SUPPLIER” FACILITY. IT IS CURRENTLY APPALLING, AND ACTUALLY PREVENTS YOU FROM DOING SO!! I cannot fault the product. It is first class. BUT….. had a non-functioning part missing and have spent three days trying to get anyone with any sense to sort it out. Amazon will ONLY let me return the whole thing for replacement. They refer me to the supplier for anything else. The supplier doesn’t want to know and refers me back to Amazon. It’s a roundabout of “Not me, Gov. Go to him!” BE WARNED.

Great Roof Box, opens both sides which makes loading and unloading so much easier. Loads of room in it to hold all your belongings too. Also quite easy for one person to be abke to put on the bars aswell

We had this for a few weeks and then returned it for a refund. I was disappointed at how cheap and flimsy it feels, and it was always hard to get it to lock (had to awkwardly push down on the lid with one hand while turning the key). At first we decided to keep it since it still did the job. Then one day the lock stopped working completely. The lock wouldn’t engage and the key would turn even when the lid was open, which is kind of a serious safety issue. The key is not supposed to turn unless it is securely locked. Luckily we noticed it wasn’t locked before we drove anywhere.

Very nice roof box but arrived scuffed

It’s a nice roof box for the money especially being able to open from both sides. I’ve got a white car so blends in nicely. It’s a bit tight for a big case as the brackets are quite chunky. The brackets are easy to tighten from the inside. I did buy other brackets with a lower internal profile to fit a big case when needed but usually if just got random camping gear which fits easily with its own brackets. I’ve not noticed if I’ve been using more fuel with it on.

Excellent roof box, easy to fit, feels secure, and looks smart. Great product.

Nice! Best to use with duffel bags to squeeze in more space.

Garbage. We had to stop at Halfords to get a strap, as the roof box kept opening on our journey. We tried so many times but the locking mechanism is faulty. The key wouldn’t turn full way, we also tried locking when the roof box was empty, but this made no difference. We did get it to lock once, but it unlocked on its own. The whole thing is flimsy. Think I’ll buy a real roof box instead.
