The Hidden Jewel: Introducing Amy Carmichael (Trailblazer Books)

A true story of an incredible woman. Very readable book. A great read aloud, but such a well written and fascinating book that this will be one to cherish for a long time to come.

Good story

A great story displaying the happiness found in sacrificing our lives for the sake of people who are less fortunate than we are.

Great book series!

I have slowly been amassing a series of books about Christian heroes. The series I like the best is out of print. So, I saw this group of stories about Christian heroes and this is the first one I bought.It is a nice story about a young English boy/man who really loves the people and culture of India. He is the main character, and Amy Carmichael seems to play mainly a supporting role.If you want a good book for older elementary about making decisions for God and eliminating prejudice and difficult decisions when you are in the minority, this is a good buy.If, however, your motivation is to let your grandchildren know some of the major heroes and heroines of the faith, it wasn't as helpful.

I love this book it was amazing! The only thing was that it skipped there age twice and that Jewel (i personally think) should have married john not arul but arul was a wonderful man.
