Louisiana Curiosities: Quirky Characters, Roadside Oddities & Other Offbeat Stuff (Curiosities Series) Paperback – November 20, 2012

This book is a really neat book full of often overlooked nooks & crannies within the state of Louisiana. It is filled with fun places to check out that have fun correlations to the culture & history of the areas involved. Our family really has had a fun time going thru the book & picking out day trip excursions based on the included places. We will be doing a small weeklong trip down south soon & will take it with us exploring!

Interesting trivia about the state. My husband and I took a day trip to see some of the things we read about in this book that we didn't know about. We are planning on checking out some more sights in the near future.

I've read the Curiosities series for quite a few states now, and this one let me down a little. Not enough roadside oddities, too many explanations that could be found in a regular guide book. The price I paid for this one doesn't match its content.
