It works well enough, however, my hair did get caught in it. It pulled in a decent section, but was easy enough to reverse the direction and have it spit my hair out; I wasn't actually sure that was going to work. The button to start, change settings, and stop is a bit cumbersome, so I'm glad I didn't panic or it would have probably been a lot worse.
