The. Best. Flashlight.
We live in the countryside and it is pitch black here at night. I have tried dozens of flashlights and spent quite a bit of money on batteries and nothing comes close to this one.It has 3 levels of brightness, is rechargeable, has a clip that also doubles as an adjustable stand, and the light itself swivels, too. So you can either stand it up, hang it up, or clip it to your belt or pants. There's also a magnet in the handle so you can attach it to anything metal as well. It's also extremely durable (yes, I dropped it quite a few times already because that's just me) and illuminates a large area.

Great bright portable work light.
I like that it's battery powered, has a hanging loop, caribiner clip and magnetic base. The light having 3 brightnesses help with the job at hand. It's easy to recharge.

Super bright, well-made
Well-made. Extremely bright. Compact size (smaller than I thought it would be, but that's a good thing). Easily fits in your tool box, pocket, etc yet throws off a TON of light (with 3 levels of brightness). Can be set up to stand, swivel, clip onto something and hang, as well as attach to ferrous surfaces with magnets.I've heard some people ask why it doesn't use the same separate battery system as other Dewalt tools, but if it did, it would literally be twice the size (it's about the same size as a Dewalt battery pack). Instead it has it's own internal, rechargeable battery that uses a USB-C cable. Haven't used it enough yet to need to recharge it, but if it follows other Dewalt batteries, it'll go a long time before it dies.Definitely recommend.

Excellent light, battery can be improved!
The product is amazingly easy to use and gives out excellent light which is ever so slightly hinted towards warm color light which is nice, not cold white like the milwaukee lights. One opened (see picture) there are two 18650 batteries, each 2000mAh for a total of 4000mAh rated at 3.6 volts, meaning both batteries are connected in parallel. At full power, the light lasts almost exactly 4 hours, which is not bad considering how bright it is. I am changing the internal batteries for two 4000mAh for a total of 8000mAh or roughly 8 hours at full brightness, which is frankly how this product should have been sold, especially considering that I've paid 11 dollars for the pair of 4000mAh batteries. Still I recommend the product, just wish it came with higher capacity batteries.

Bright, sturdy, convenient. Magnet is a bit lacking.
After a recent house fire in the family, I have been replacing all of my cheapo rechargeable items with brand names that insurance will have a simpler time contacting if necessary. This included a compact magnetic work light.Overall, this light is much better than the cheapo. The light is both brighter and warmer, so it's not as jarring when it turns on, even though it provides more light. The clip is much sturdier, and closes to ensure it doesn't fall. The clip also doubles as a stand.Where it falls a bit flat is the magnet. The cheapo came with a magnet strong enough that it would stay on even the thinnest of metal surfaces, even just a drywall screw. The DeWalt magnet is not nearly as strong and the light is considerably heavier. It struggles to magnetize firmly onto anything but thick steel. With a stronger neodymium magnet this thing would be PERFECT.

very versatile
With a rotating magnetic stand that also has a hook this light can be positioned anywhere. A lot of light in a small package is extremely handy for an electrician or any tradesman. Only drawback is light last about 6 hours between charges.

Best work light I own!
I'm a diesel mechanic of almost 20 years now. I started back when a decent flashlight had D batteries and halogen bulbs. They were too big, too heavy and changing batteries all the time was expensive and annoying. Then I graduated to power tool flashlights, but they're often too bulky, too heavy, too dim, too expensive and never seem to be the right shape to set them up to shine on your work area. Then LED's became a thing and I've tried so many different kinds. Everyone has different needs and preferences and I just never could find one that I really liked - until this little guy. This thing is small, sooooper bright and has all the right mounting options for me. I primarily use the magnets for mounting and I just love that the light not only folds, but it pivots too. I think it looks awesome and I love the USB charging. I personally prefer a light that is more white or even a touch of blue, so I though I wouldn't like the "warm" light this emits, but honestly, it's been fantastic. Here's the two issues I've found with this light.1. Battery doesn't last as long as I'd like. I wish I could get a solid 4-5hrs out of it, but it's more like 2-3. I guess I can't ask too much out of a light this size.2. When the light sits flat on it's magnetic base, it cannot be folded to shine at any angle. This is because the pivot itself is too bulky, so in certain positions, it interferes with the mounting surface and will push the front of the light up, loosing magnetic contact. That's a bit of a pain in some circumstances.Other than that, after 6 months of every day use, I just love this thing.

Pros and Cons
Pros: Very bright light that last all day, Rechargeable and very durable. Dropped over 10ft, covered it in grease and oils and used while welding and still runs and looks brand new.Cons: cost (light comes on sale all the time, wait for the sales) and the magnets… they are good magnets but are recessed into the clip. When trying to move the head of the light into a larger than 90° angle, the body of the head reaches the surface and causes it to lift off the metal it is stuck to rendering the magnets useless and trying to find a different position for the light. All in all it is a great tool and will be a daily driver with no regrets of purchasing but fix the damn swivel

DEWALT LED Flashlight - DCL182
Darn bright no doubt about that. For my job as a mechanic level #1 usually suffices no problem. Battery life has been stellar, and love the fact the head rotates as that aspect has come in handy many a times. The magnetic aspect? Well that's an area where it definitely falls short especially in my field of work as the surfaces aren't usually flat. With the magnets not being overly strong it has a tendency to fall off more often than not. But we resolved that problem by attaching a magnet base mount (via screws) from an emergency flashing beacon, sticks like glue now LOL. Also nice to see it is equipped with the newest USB port standard, Type-C.
