I got these plugs. Because the first ever smart plug I recently purchased, was (in error!) a Bluetooth plug (from Sylvania). And I hate it. I paired it to use with Google home (Nest Mini 2nd gen) Speaker, and it's been VERY unstable! It keeps showing offline and I'd have to keep restarting it to work. Just terrible! So after a few days of trying everything to get it working right, I realized that I just should of bought WiFi plugs instead of Bluetooth. I just had no idea what to look for and ended up with the Bluetooth. So now I started looking for WiFi plugs, and this time I made sure that they'd work with the Smart life app, cause I'm using that app already anyway for my split unit AC, and other devices. So not having to add another app just made sense to me, so I found these that matched everything I looked for. these are WiFi connected, and they work through the Smart Life app, and the price is low. So I got 2 plugs.And I was right, these are indeed way more stable! Setting it up was easy enough since I'm already using the app. I just added the 2 plugs, very easily, and they work perfectly with my Google home setup. It hasn't shown offline even once since I first connected them. (while the Bluetooth one I've had to reset 3 times in this time).So I'm really happy with these 2 new plugs.Besides the better stability of the connection, the Smart life app allows me to setup schedules for each plugs, where as the Sylvania app has no features at all other than on\off.So if you're shopping for your first Smart plug, as long as you have a good WiFi setup at home, this will do very well for you.

Update: I now see the status on the SmartLife home screen that was missing for these outlets before. I’m not sure what changed to cause the missing status indicators to later appear, but as a result I’m increasing my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars.——These outlets function well once set up in the Smart Life app, but aside from On/Off program there are other controls like Relay Status On/Off/Last that are not explained anywhere. I had to do a web search to find out this means what happens when power is restored after an outage (outlet on or off or last used state).The big negative is that in my Smart Life home screen I don’t have a display showing if these outlets are currently on or off. All my other outlets and bulbs show their current state on the home screen but these do not and I have to tap to go into the outlet settings to see if it is currently on or off. That’s a big disappointment and inconvenience, enough that I’m considering returning these and spending more to get more of the other ones I already had.

Way too many connection and continuity issues. Will end up causing more headache than ease of mind. This thing wasted 55gallons of treated water because I tapped the on button but the button didn’t light up on the app so I thought it was off. Outlet then went offline do I couldn’t check and had to drive him to make sure it was off and it wasn’t. This thing is trash.Schedules DO NOT WORK. These outlets turn off and on when they feel like and the schedule just doesn’t function. The outlets are always “offline” unless you go into the app and wait 5 seconds. It isn’t an app issue because I’ve had the app(smart life) and have used it with other brand of outlets and work FLAWLESSLY. Don’t waste your money and time with these.

They work just fine with Alexa. No issues.
