I'm pretty impressed with the results..
First off: I didn't use any instructions, on the packaging, I watched YouTube videos before I came across this organic coloring solution, So I already knew that there was issues with the instructions from what people were saying on YouTube videos.. Most people fail because they don't understand that both the henna and indigo have to be activated before you can use them as dye.. you can't just mix with water and then just throw it on your hair.. It's like an 8-hour process all together.. The henna, and the indigo both have to be activated before the dyes will release into your hair.. It's a process that takes about 4 hours setting, and 2 hours applied to the hair.. Hannah has to be mixed with warm water to the consistency of yogurt, I added lemon juice, black tea, and iodized salt, Then I mix it together, covered and let it sit for 4 hours, Then I applied it to my hair, covered my hair, and let it work for 2 hours, Then I washed it out with just plain water.. Most people say the indigo don't have to sit for 4 hours but, I ended up letting mine sit for 10 minutes and then applying to my hair and next time I think I'm going to let it sit for 4 hours, because the indigo didn't come out as black as it could have been, and as black as I have seen when others used it.. I mixed black tea, salt, warm water, and lemon juice in the indigo.. After the indigo I washed it out with plain water first, Then I used head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner to wash it out a second time.. I am very happy with the results, I might do a second application of the indigo.. I have heard people say it's supposed to get darker over time but I don't know, This is my first time using this solution.. Definitely satisfied with the product, I will definitely use it again in the near future..

Healthy hair coloring
This worked great! I just did a henna treatment last night. I boiled water then steeped 3 bags of black tea until hot/warm not boiling. I added my own vinegar from pickled beets I had marinating. I welcomed the red color from the beets over the orange color of henna. I then let sit for 5 hours. I washed my hair then left the henna in overnight with a shower cap on. It was runny and a big mess but that was me using too much tea/water I rinsed out in the morning with only water. I then mixed the indigo with bottled water and a pinch of salt. I used significantly less indigo than henna because I only wanted to darken the henna over my edges and in my bang with indigo. I put the indigo on as soon as I mixed it. I let it sit without a shower cap until it started turning blue/black then covered with a shower cap and left it in for 2 hours. The indigo did stain everything that it touched even the floor, walls, my nails not just towels. This is some strong color that bleach didn’t help. To my surprise with only 2 hours of the indigo use I washed it out using conditioner and I am happy with the color it took very well. Another popular brand of indigo gave me crippling migraines years ago so I skipped the indigo for years. This indigo I feel a small headache but that’s from broken sleep due to this being on overnight and running and a slight effect from the indigo which I felt going into my scalp since I must have some kind of sensitivity to indigo. But this one is not bad. I’m happy to have found this.

No color at all
I bought this combo for my gray hair and I don't have a lot to cover. I am from India and I know very well how henna works on hair. This powder left no color whatsoever, not even the slightest yellow or orange tinge that a typical henna powder leaves even the worst of any kind. So, I am not sure what kind of powder is this or what happened during its processing or maybe the indigo powder combo dilutes the henna effect. I used the ratio of both as mentioned on the box for dark brown. It does smell like henna but the coloring effect is nowhere near the typical henna powder. Very disappointed, as hair coloring with henna is a laborious process, not to mention the smell in the house and waste of my time with zero results. Would not recommend for coloring.

Natural Color with Good Coverage!!
This henna and indigo combo works well for natural hair coloring. The powders feel fresh and pure, mix easily, and give decent black coverage without harsh chemicals. I like that there are no preservatives and it’s a more natural option compared to chemical dyes. The process takes time and patience, but the results are worth it if you prefer herbal hair color!!

I used the 2-step process, and no complaint about the quality of the packaging, or the results. But be aware that Mehndi/Indigo is not fully skin safe. I have never had any reaction to the chemical colors that I have used for many years on monthly basis. But I had a reaction to Mehndi/Indigo - on the 5th application ! I did all the right things - sufficient gap after my last chemical dye, patch test, minimal application initially - and did a full application only when everything was going fine. Both color and texture were good in the first few times. I really liked the color result (I have fully white hair), but sadly I have turned out to be allergic to Mehndi/Indigo. This was a purchase to confirm if I am indeed allergic to Indigo, or if something was wrong with my earlier purchased product. I got the same reaction from this too - itchy scalp, swollen forehead down to my eye area, and a mild reaction after every shampoo afterwards (maybe because the indigo was again coming into contact with the skin). My advice - consider it like any other chemical dye. Don't ignore any itching/swelling if you use Indigo/Mehndi. I have read about some very serious adverse reactions in some users. The process is tedious and time consuming, and the results are not as long lasting as chemical color. You may also need to start using an old towel over your pillow. But the color is definitely more natural looking. Also give around 2 month gap between any chemical dye before or after using Mehndi/Indigo because I read that these may react with each other and damage the color or the hair strands.
