They can either be place under or peel and stick you have the option. I got new furniture and didn't want to tear up the hardwood floor and these things truly stop the couch from moving. If you don't want it to move buy these. If you just want a protection of your floor but will need to move furniture often this probably aren't the best.I love them because my dog jumps on the couch with other brands he had pushed the couch but these truly do not move it!

I ordered these slip to grip pads because I was having a couch and chair move more than a foot a day.Since placing them under each leg in the front only, the movement has stopped completely. I have all natural oak floors that are over 85 years old. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. A happy customer!

I like the fact that they are compact yet very sturdy. I used them under a new bed frame on a carpet so I cannot address the adhesive or hardwood floor rating but I would not hesitate to use them for that. They were easy to slip under the posts, blend right in and are ample size. So far they have done the job. We previously had a problem with the fame moving whenever you would sit on the edge of the bed. I would not hesitate to recommend this product.

***Review for 3 inch round gripper***I had originally purchased a set of these in 2015 and they worked great for a few years until the compressed under use. I replaced them 3 months ago and these are nowhere near as grippy. The pads have become smooth and compressed in 3 months as opposed to 3 years. The 3M tape has ripped right off a few pads making them useless in staying attached to the couch legs. I would look for another product at this point.

We have new waiting-area seating in our office that is very light weight, so slid back every time someone sat down. I've spent much of the past 6 months rearranging furniture throughout the day! I was looking for a non-slip pad made especially to discourage light-weight pieces from slipping on commercial low-nap carpet, but didn't find anything. Decided after much research to give these a try. We've only had them in place a couple of days, but those seats haven't moved a bit. In fact, I tried to push them back, but they held firm! I was very skeptical, but these pad grippers are fantastic! Now I'm thinking I may try them at home on my washer that walks all over the basement...

These pads work great. Used them for a bed and a couch. Both rooms have wood floors and every piece of furniture slides when you touch it. You can trim them to desired size and they come with double sided tape to help them stay on the feet of the furniture. The bed and couch no longer move, even when you run and jump on them. They grip so well it took three people to move the couch an inch closer to the wall because it no can't slide. Worth every penny. Will purchase again if needed.

I've been looking around the Internet for 3 inch rubber pads and came across your item. These work exceptionally well for exactly what them to do. I purchased another round of them but this time they have the self-adhesive on one back. Wish I had done that for the first set but never saw them. Oh well probably have future purchases awaiting. So glad this product is available and I give it AAA + + +!!

We have a couch and chair&a-half that we have on hardwood. There is an area rug in front of these we like to sit on. Initially to protect the hardwood we had felt pads on the chairs, and this resulted in the furniture sliding whenever you leaned against it when sitting on the carpet.We installed these grip pads about a year ago, and they did exactly what we were looking for. The chairs don't slip, and even with 2 people leaning against them, and no one sitting in the chair, they stay in place. If you're looking for something to keep furniture from sliding around on hardwood, I would recommend these.
