Activated Carbon Filter (BE-147) - Odor & Fume Control

Fresh Air Upgrade for My Car I swapped in the Spearhead Odor Defense Breathe Easy AC & Heater Cabin Filter, and right away I noticed a difference in how clean the air feels inside the car. The activated carbon design really does help knock down that musty smell you get from older filters, and it leaves the cabin air fresher and easier to breathe. Installation was straightforward—it fit snugly in place of the OEM filter in my Honda without any fiddling. The quality feels solid, with a sturdy frame and dense pleating that suggests it should last longer than some cheaper filters I’ve tried. The packaging even mentions up to 25% longer life, and based on how it looks and feels, I can believe it. One thing to keep in mind: like all cabin filters, this will eventually clog with dust and pollen, so it’s not a permanent fix. I’ll be curious to see if it really stretches past the usual 12-month mark before airflow starts to drop. Bottom line: A worthwhile upgrade that installs easily, improves air quality, and may outlast standard filters—perfect if you want cleaner, fresher cabin air without spending dealership prices.

Great price for a great, simple filter. It fit my 2019 Honda Civic Sport beautifully, though I did have to turn it sideways to get the correct alignment (air flow indicator on the side rather than at the front). There's no noise associated with it, unlike the last filter I tried which was a charcoal filter that whistled. The airflow is perfect, no hindrance there, and there's less of a smell in my car's AC. Overall, the quality is fantastic and I highly recommend it. Should anything go wrong or anything about my review change as I continue to use it, I'll update again.

2021 Chevy Bolt replacement. Perfect fit. Materials look as good as OEM. 5 min install. For the price it makes it easy to change it out on a yearly basis to keep your interior smelling as clean as possible. Would definitely purchase again.

This is my second time buying this Spearhead cabin filter, and the quality is still top-notch. It has a perfect, snug seal that fits just like OEM, and it does a fantastic job filtering out allergens with its high filtration capacity. Airflow is quiet, and the filter quality is excellent. I’m only giving it 4 stars because the price feels a bit too high for a repeat purchase.

Fits 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid. Very well made, good quality, like OEM one. Cost is pretty good, certainly compared to Honda OEM part cost…geesh. Was also pleased with quickness of delivery. I had ordered another brand, and it wasn’t going to be delivered for a week. Reason for quick delivery explained here later. Frame of reference: I’ve maintained my own vehicles for 50 years; a female who in my 20’s used to climb under my car and change my oil, gap my spark plugs, etc. Self taught, before there was Youtube. 😉. But when they started computerizing stuff which I could not maintain, or made it impossible to do what once was a fairly easy thing, that was it. I still always at least replace my engine and cabin filters, wipers, check hoses and fluids, etc. Since rats are a problem here in FL when your vehicle sits outside at night, these may need to be replaced immediately and often during nesting season…like all the time. Despite my many measures to repel the nasty things…they are persistent. They didn’t apparently like my 17-year old car of same model as much, only bothered it twice in 10 years. But this new one, with all the plant-based material used now for hoses and such…yikes. There’s been “evidence” that they have been in the engine compartment and cabin filter three times in just five months; no nests, though. I check every week. The last thing I need is to turn on the a/c and inhale all that dangerous stuff. Will be buying more of these as needed! Would definitely recommend.

Ordered this for a 2024 Ford Maverick xlt eco-boost. Appears to fit same as OEM which is good but without the dealer markup. i looked up a video and decided to replace it myself. Install was quite easy, just be careful not to break the housing tabs.

First thing I noticed is that this filter is much heavier than the OEM filter. Box cam with instructions although there are YOUTUBE videos that are much clearer. That said it too me all of 7 minutes. Fitment was perfect. Seems to flow air freely and fits securely in the housing. Nissan designed this filter housing with easy access. My install was on a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder.

I hadn't heard much of this brand until recently. I am doing some routine maintenance on a 2015 Jeep Patriot and needed some user replaceable parts. The first thing I bought from Spearhead was a Breathe Easy Cabin Filter. It fit perfectly and not only improved the air quality in the cabin but also how quickly my cabin heated up (important in winter in Canada). After that positive experience, when I was looking for new wiper blades and saw ones from them (Spearhead Beam Force XTREME), I had the confidence that they make quality products. I read the product specs and reviews and looking at the more than reasonable price I bought them. Ironically the day I installed these one of my windshield washer nozzles broke (unrelated to this install) and so I was only getting a tiny trickle of washer fluid. Well with these new blades that tiny trickle was enough as my windshield is as clean as it has even been. I am a happy customer, sure to buy their stuff again.

Sa rigidité ne permet pas un bonne installation dans le compartiment du filtre . Par conséquent le passage de l’air n’est que partiel et donc , on n’a pas une filtrage total mais seulement partiel.
