Installation is very easy. I use this in my bathroom and its the perfect size. The light is very bright but dimmable. My picture with the light on is with the yellow/warm setting and fully dimmed. I dont have a fan and this works great with the 3 speeds and I also loved the pre-set timed off settings if you choose to use them. It's great for keeping the air moving to keep mirror and window from fogging up while showering.I like the dimmable light and the ability to choose anywhere between the 100% white or 100% yellow settings. The remote is small and I have to hide it from my cats!You can use the wall switch to turn unit on or off without using the remote and it will go between 3 pre-set settings of: ON (light only), ON (fan only) and ON (light and fan combined). Any adjustments with fan speed, light color or timers and you will need to use the remote to adjust or set them.Unfortunately you can't change the preset options that I'm aware of if you only want to use the wall switch without the remote.Overall, I love this product for the ease of installation, it's not heavy, its built sturdy, it has a bright light, its not noisey, its just the right size and the price is right. I'm happy with this product and planning to buy another!

I was highly, HIGHLY skeptical that this was going to be effective. I was fully prepared to send it back. But as luck would have it, this was the perfect solution for our makeshift upstairs office in a loft style room with 3 walls and no air vent. Our circumstances worked out perfectly because there's a light socket right above where we position our desk, so the air blowing from it is strong enough to keep us cool. Would I trust this in a larger room to provide sufficient airflow? Probably not. But it does the trick for what we needed without having to invest in wiring and installing a true ceiling fan.As an added bonus, I do enjoy the ability to change the temperature on the light. Changing it to a cooler setting is great for video call lighting, and then I can easily adjust it back for something that's a little easier on the eyes throughout the day.One warning: I thought ahead and purchased an extender for our canister light socket, which was definitely necessary. If that's the type of socket you plan to install in, I would do the same otherwise you may not have enough clearance to successfully get thus screwed in.

This product is really kewl and cool (no pun intended....well maybe a little). The light is fantastic. You can see everything in the corner where it is. That corner was kinda dark, so having this adjustable light is fantastic. The fan is wonderful, especially in this oppressive summer heat. The corner by the stove when you are preparing food and cooking can get really hot. The fan is a huge help. We love it. The only thing it needs is an extension and a way to lock the arm in position to it doesn't shift when putting it into the recepticle. I have recessed lighting. The inclusion of an extension would have allowed me to use the light/fan a few days earlier. I did purchase on and it works perfectly and was inexpensive.Update 28 Sep 2023: I still love this lamp however, when you turn the lights on, sometimes the light does not go on but the fan does. Sometimes the fan doesn't go on but the light does. Sometimes both come on. It's extremely annoying. Now that winter is coming, I would like to turn the fan off so it does not come on at all...no way to do it. I would like for the light to come on every time I turn the lights on and not have to continually turn the fan off. That's my gripe since I've now had a chance to really use it. It's still worth getting.

I had old recessed lighting that was on the side of the recess, not straight up. I didn't want to have an electrician in to change the whole thing and my ceiling were low for ceiling fans anyways.This is a great alternative. Plenty of light. I love the night feature so when you turn it in it isn't blaring first thing in the morning. I wish the fan was a little stronger.

I bought this for my kitchen shed. It has a high ceilings are the fan is useless. Delight is fine, and I like the 3° of light. The biggest problem I have, is when I use the light switch to turn it on and off, it doesn’t always keep the settings and a lot of the time the light didn’t actually come on, and I had to use the remote control. The fan is useless unless it’s on a low ceiling because it is small. It’s decent, but not perfect.

Forget the negative stuff people write. I found most of them to be untrue. It blows plenty strong when hanging from an 8’ ceiling. The remote worked perfectly. The only con I could see is that you might not want to use it as your main lighting in a room unless you use the remote exclusively to turn it on. If you use a light switch to turn it on, you will find that it cycles to the next setting every time you turn it on. You might get just the light, just the fan, or both. It could be confusing to guests. I use this thing in place of a heat lamp during the summer months for a nice breeze in the bathroom. It’s not loud and it does come with air freshener tabs that work well. It is also very bright unless you choose to dim it with the remote. I really like it.

I have a small extra bathroom in my house and the light socket is very old. I had a bulb with a bulb cover in it, but couldn't control the lighting. In addition the bathroom (which is in the attic) gets very hot in the summer and steamy after a shower. I decided to try this and I am so glad I did. It was very easy to install (it is after all just screwing in a light bulb) and I LOVE the different lighting options. 3 different options with varying brightness for each. In addition, the fan is great. It provides a nice circulation of air in my small space. Every time I use it, I think "this is genius" and I wish I had more sockets to add more or them. The cologne disks are a nice added feature which provide a light scent when activated.
