Raw Hawaiian Honey, Single Floral Variety by Big Island Bees (Ohia Lehua with Vanilla, 9 oz)

We recently visited Hawaii where we purchased this large jar of local Hawaiian honey at Costco. It is fantastic!! The flavor is light and refreshing. The whole family loved it. When we got back home, I was thrilled to see that I could buy it on Amazon. Just bought a jar for ourselves and a second jar as a father's day gift for my son-in-law who is a tea drinker.

My honey arrived safe and sound. The box had been pretty beat up, but the honey was packaged tight and it didn't suffer any damage. I was so happy to see it was ok after seeing what it went through in shipping (From Hawaii to Las Vegas). I already have two smaller jars that I got from Whole Foods, and I liked the creamy taste of it so much, that I got the bigger jar. Now I'm set for quite some time and I couldn't be happier.

This is the kind of honey that is too good to put on other food. I eat this right from the jar a little at a time. YUM!

WOW! Some of the tastiest honey I have ever had. I bought it for the emergency shelf, but once opened, this barely lasted 2 weeks, as we couldn't get enough. Really, really, really good honey. Only thing better would be if they had it with the comb.

This honey is interesting. Very unique, and given it's relative viscosity I'm sure it's natural and unprocessed. The flavor doesn't offend, but is different in a way I'm not sure I can describe and do justice, however I'll try none the less. It's almost "funky" like a soured fermentation. Not sour actually, still plenty sweet, texture even "grainy". Anyway, it's one for the collection

Great honey from Hawaii. I would have purchased directly on their website but the large size jar was sold out. I don't like using Amazon and try to avoid it. Excellent quality honey, highly recommend.

My grandkids love this honey. Maybe because I refer to it as "special honey" because it is opaque and firm out of the jar, or, maybe, they can taste a critical difference. Whatever, I will buy this premium honey as long as the girls demand it.

The product 100% honestly smelled like the strongest stench of Black Truffles upon opening the jar! I was in Hawaii just last month where I visited their farm, did the tour, fell obsessively in love with the Vanilla flavored one which was thick in texture and had a smooth vanilla flavor. What I’ve received today wasn’t it! Left the jar open to air out, the strong scent dissipated after a while (Still has a faint truffle scent) but upon tasting it could also taste that truffle flavor.My theory is this... wherever they source their vanilla from must’ve been near truffles and absorbed the flavors?! Nothing else makes any sense. Mind boggling. Guess I’ll have to miss out on my favorite honey.
