Great Supplement from a Trusted Brand
I used to include antioxidants of various types as part of my nutritional supplement regimen, but at some point in the past I ran out of my supply and never got around to re-order more of them. It became my habit to NOT take them, but as I grow older, I am becoming more aware of the benefits of antioxidants to combat the cell-damaging effects of free radicals in the body. When browsing Amazon recently I happened to come across these Nutricost Lycopene soft gels capsules, and I ordered a bottle right away.Each Nutricost Lycopene capsule contains 20mg. There is no established recommended daily amount of lycopene, but in doing a little research I learned that between 8 and 21 milligrams was a very good daily dosage, with up to 45mg being considered a safe daily amount. The thing about supplements is that their positive impact isn't always evident in how you "feel". I've been taking this lycopene for a couple of weeks now and I "feel" pretty good, but I felt pretty good before also. Maybe I haven't been taking it long enough for it to really "kick in", but in any case I'm going to continue to take it, trusting the science and what research studies have shown: free radicals are bad, antioxidants fight free radicals, lycopene is a potent antioxidant. I may never know exactly how much taking lycopene has and will help me - I'll just trust that it does and will.Nutricost is a well-established and trusted brand, providing high-quality supplements at a very reasonable cost.
