Q: Is this rates for agricultural use? We want a fan to use in a horse stable, but have been warned to look for agricultural rating.

I use it in a chicken coop. If you choose to use with a timer or on a switch keep in mind it has its on GFIC plug. Which activates when power it cut to plug. I replaced the plug with regular 3 prong. I have not had any issues with fan. Thinking of getting another for my goat house.

Yes it gets hot!! Had mine for 3 years on a houseboat. Never any problems
