Purchased refurbished, and works like NEW! I now have a laptop to use on random gigs where people can gather around and sing Christmas songs without looking at their phones and crowding me at the piano! 🥳😅 In the meantime, I've figured out how to USB-C tether hotspot-allocated internet to it, and optionally mirror my phone screen using a web-app\site called scrcpy. (Netflix didn't seem to work; USB debugging must be on).

I didn't realize this until my mom pointed it out because they weren't there when I got it, two of the screws on the bottom were missing and two of the three that were there fell out and I had to screw them back in. It works well enough and the battery lasts a long time but it's not what I thought it was (that's not Amazon's fault though, I didn't read the full description).

Less than a year later my chromebook has died. One morning it barely held charged and the next day it wouldn't turn on at all.

I am very very pleased. It's only been a day but I feel like this is a brand new laptop. The battery is very good. The product looks new. I have had no issues yet. All straight forward and clearly a job done well. I have had many re-newed laptops but this has been my favorite experience to date even though my others were very good this one has been by a hair more than I hoped it would be. New to Chromebooks but know they have a great reputation. This is also one for me!What I missed is only one thing. A lighted keyboard. Not a deal breaker at this price by even a little bit. Adapt and overcome! USMC

Got this for my baby boy for his online class and he loves it

Really love this machine as a personal computer - occasionally moved. CX1700 is large, I don't think I would carry it around every day, but the 17" screen is really great and eliminates the need for an external monitor at home (for me). The frame is ruggedized and I'm impressed with it, not worried about hauling it when I need to. I'm a software engineer with many years of experience, and I strongly prefer ChromeOS for my personal (not enterprise) computer because of the speed, reliability, security and efficiency of the underlying operating system. And the features in Chrome OS 130 make managing all your basic tasks SO easy. Office365 extremely easy to set up and works perfectly. Android phone integration is seamless.
