Now it works great, would connect to the WiFi Router but with no internet, I turned off the IPV6 protocol in the network adapter settings now it works like a charm!

Have older Ruckus 7982 WiFi 4 AP (so 40Mhz channel max) with appx 180Mb Internet connection. Broke NUC motherboard WiFi antenna connectors replacing fan, so dug out an older Edimax AC600 Wireless LAN USB 2.0 Adapter (also Realtek) but could not see 5Ghz. Quickly figured out it did not support DFS, so order this POS. Had no installation issues on the Win11 NUC other than had to go into device management to enable, but throughput is horrible (see attachments). The EDUP USB 3.0 WiFi 6E AX5400M WiFi Adapter is the pic with 8.54/1.34 speeds. I think that speed figure was generous because mail/web page loading was beyond slow and note how it does not see the nearby 2.4Ghz AP's vs the Edimax adapter. It's hard to tell on pictures, but the signal strength is a good 5-10 lower than the single antenna Edimax. I also tried on a win10 laptop with same results (laptop built in WiFi got wire speeds from same distance ~25ft). Did find newer drivers on another site (5001.19.113.2 vs 5001.19.102.0 - Google "Realtek 8832CU driver" to find) but only helped the non-DFS channels a little. I can now understand why this product is off market - LOL. Returning and will look for another cheap USB adapter which supports DFS, since the non-DFS channels will fill up as the snowbirds flock back to FL.

My computer has no built in wifi system, but it didn't matter since I was always near a hardline connection. However, now that I bought my new home, my router location has to be quite a long ways from my computer, therefore the only way I could connect was with this little wifi dongle that I got around in 2012. Though I could connect, it had no way of identifying a 5GHz channel. So an upgrade was needed, thus the need for this flashy usb. I didn't want to have to deal with opening my com and I may get a gaming laptop in the future, so I figured a mobile dongle was practical. Though the usb came with instructions, the website listed where to download the driver (ofcourse) didn't link directly to it. But navigating to the website's home page, going to their download site, and searching based on the model number made that search easy. (Due not when you attempt to download the driver, turn off your ad block so you can actually download it, took me like 5 minutes to figure that out). After installing the driver, I reset my com, and the device was up and ready. However, ironically, my com could connect to the 2.5 GHz, but it couldn't connect to the 5.0 GHz (or at least it wasn't accepting the password for some reason). After numerous attempts, I instead manually connected the to the network by using the wps button on my router, then it was good to go. For me, the speed is pleasantly faster than the old usb adapter I had and it even had comparable speeds as it was hardwired! Though I don't have windows 10, nor a tri-band router, having this dongle with at least that capability prepares me to have the connection possible once I eventually upgrade both my software and router in the future. Due note, this usb is pretty wide, so if you have plugs very close together, chances are you're going to block one for use. Also, if your plugs are positioned vertically instead of horizontally, and you want to use the antennas, you're gonna have to resort to placing the antennas in a T-pose position if you don't want them sticking out from sides.

I just spent about 3 hours trying to get this adapter to connect to 2 5Ghz wifi6 networks. This works fine on 2.4Ghz networks. But not on wifi6/AX networks in windows 10. I disabled the 5Ghz AX profile in the driver settings and it could then connect to my 5Ghz network. There are no drivers direct from realtek so I tried a few other realtek 8832AU and 8832BU drivers with no luck. After many system reboots driver installs/uninstalls plugging/unplugging different usb 3 ports I finally got the wifi 6 5GHZ network to connect after installing the driver manually from disk and choosing the the Asus wifi adapter in the list provided by the EDUP driver package instead of the Realtek 8832CU driver (There is no EDUP specific driver). Windows says this Asus driver is not designed for this hardware but disregard and click next and driver installs successfully. The Windows Device manager then shows the hardware to be "Realtek 8832CU Wireless LAN WiFI 6 USB NIC" and not the Asus device which is strange but I see additional options in the wifi hardware advanced settings so something about installing the Asus driver added features needed for the 5Ghz wifi ax format to work. The very bizarre thing is before I had this Asus driver loaded the 5Ghz wifi 6 network connection would connect and then the device appears to reset and then come back and when I manually connected to my network again it looked like it was connected but I could not ping any devices. I tried resetting my windows components and many reboots but it did not help. Only connecting to the 2.4ghz network or disabling the 5Ghz AX profile in the driver allowed me to ping my network devices. EDUP please talk to Realtek about fixing their wifi 6 5Ghz drivers. Chinese website ... driver download is NOT apparently compatible with Windows 11 Pro. Tried rebooting pc, a different web browser, turning off malwarebytes realtime protection. Plse fix you website and driver, Gordo Metro Vancouver, BC
