Falling and being fallen into
All the players here are riding high on their own emotions. It's assume to see the passion of the characters on display here. I hope that this quirky ensemble can find a way to work together going forward. I had a wild flashback to my college days, and a couple of friends -Iwho were constantly apologizing to the rest of our group for the crazy things they had talked us into trying. What wacky and happy days those were!

Same style, but horror element was not my cup of tea
There are some interesting points to be made, and Fukuda does a good job making them. The overall theme is, of course, 'Cosplay is Okay', along with 'Guys Can Be Clueless and Obsessed Too'.Nothing wrong with those. Having some of the less common approaches as a theme is a good break from everything of mainstream lockstep boredom. Looking at how people imitate others, whether real or fictional, is downright interesting. In this edition there's an approach to horror, and how some people really do not like it. This is well done, because I am one of those people. I'd frankly not have bought this book if I'd known how into the theme Fukado was delving. But he does a good job demonstrating why some people are into it, and starts touching on the topic of people obsessed with various celebrities -- and to the point of buying entire backlog issues, 10 copies of the same magazine, and low-key religious experiences just meeting them. While I did not really enjoy MDUD 11, it has some insightful comments. That's something I never thought I'd say about _any_ manga-esque setup. But there you have it.

Dragging on and can't tell who is who.
Let me put this up front..this is one of my favorite series of all time. That being said, when you dress up a bunch of girls to look exactly the same in a black and white story where they all looked kinda similar to begin with you have no idea who is talking. As for the story itself, it was going somewhere, but seems to be more and more like a series where the female protagonist ever chases the clueless male protagonist looking for "the perfect moment" to confess and things just get in the way forever and we have to see "will it happen in the next volume? Find out next time!". Its a worn out manga trope and I was hoping like crazy this series would not do that, but as we introduce a large number of new characters (ala Komi can't communicate) and have a never ending runaround to a true confession, it seems the only confession we may get is Marin telling a sleeping Gojo she loves him over the phone. I am really hoping this next volume has that confession and follows the example of Uzaki Chan Wants to Hang Out! and then lets us explore the fun and adventure of their budding romance with the new friends they made along the way. This is the one reason I gave this one start is to let the authors know I am tired of manga and anime that stretches on forever, but never goes anywhere (i.e Rent a Girlfriend). Do it properly or you will lose readers.

Everybody loves Marin.
Great volume, thought we were going to have "fisty cuffs" in this volume, but the girl who we thought hated Marin is actually obsessed with her (oops, forgot to say spoiler alert) little bit confusing at first because the older cos players refer to her as Marine, but then I realised it's her cos play name (duh) can't wait for the next installment.

Translator mistake.
Her name is Marin. It isn't Marine. How could the translator make such a simple yet HUGE mistake?!

Need more!
My fav manga and even so we’re at volume 11 now it’s still as good to read as it was in volume 1 ☺️Also it has more depth to it than it might seem like.
