Great Product, Excellent Customer Service
My Use: estate/small farm (<5 acres); supplying water to small pond, animals, garden, and landscape plantings, plus fire suppression for burn piles;Positives: heavy duty rubber hose and very solid brass connections strain relief spring on spigot end, strain collar on nozzle end minimal kinking, and generally only when drained and hot (sunny days), and thus at its most pliable still quite flexible when charged (full) very high flow rate (think firefighter-type water flow), works great with Nelson 50503 High-Pressure Rated Fireman's Style Industrial Spray Nozzle with Large On/Off Lever outstanding customer serviceNegatives: hose swells significantly when full and well-heated by sunAfter purchasing one of these hoses in 2011, I liked its quality and decided to get another. Sometime after receiving the second hose (Jan/2012) the first hose failed at the spigot end (female) coupling. The hose had been left hooked up, drained, nozzle closed (out of habit), and I went to use it one afternoon only to discover that the hose had simply popped off of the coupling! The only explanation I could come up with was that the hot sun had heated the hose and any small amount of moisture remaining therein and the resultant air/steam pressure caused the failure. I was not at all happy, but having the second hose on hand allowed me to press it into service as a replacement.Since the lifetime warranty was a factor in my purchasing the hose in the first place, I contacted the manufacturer (Colorite/Swan) by email and, after a couple of back-and-forth transmissions I was told that a replacement would be shipped at no cost and should be received in 4-6 weeks (a later email from them mentioned 3 weeks, but I planned on the original schedule). Usually impatient with these situations, and often on the wrong end of them, I almost did a check-in call at week four but held off and, to my surprise and great relief, the new hose arrived one day shy of 5 weeks from first contact!!One problem or issue, especially where I share at least a portion of the blame (leave nozzle open on uncharged lines), will not dissuade me from recommending this hose to others, and I will most certainly repurchase myself as the need arises. Thanks, Colorite.

Good Hose, durable!
I don't know why people are having trouble with this hose. I've had 100ft of it since 2018. Cut it in 2 to make two 50's. It's been outside all the time in the hot 110 sun and in the winter down to freezing. I've left the water on for weeks with a nozzle on the end and no leaks. It gets beat up dragging over rocks and dirt and no abrasion. I'd buy it again.

Fantastic hose
I must have read a hundred reviews for hoses when I was deciding which one to buy for my organic farm. I decided on this one and I'm really glad I did. First of all, the water really flows out of this thing. Second, it's lead-free, which is obviously great. Third, it doesn't kink. That's a really big deal when you have 300 feet of hose (which I do now after buying two more) and you're dragging it out to the end of your field - you really don't want to have to run all the way back to de-kink it near the faucet or something. Also, it's really easy to spot in all the greenery. I've had no problem with connections or bulges like other reviewers, fortunately. One reviewer mentioned that you need muscles to haul it around. I agree with that completely. I practice advanced karate several times a week, and the first time I had to haul these things around outside my calf muscles were sore the next day. Three hundred feet of any hose would be heavy, but this one is solidly built. Anyway, I highly recommend this hose.
