Great product
Brilliant. Sharpened a couple of knives I had given up on, and I went through my whole drawer sharpening all my cooking knives, much cheaper than replacing them.Suction works well to keep the sharpener on the work surface, and very easy to use.

Cheap and Effective
I bought knives which claimed to have a sharpening function in the block, so the knives would sharpen when being taken out or put back in their slots. This just didn’t work. The Any Sharp sharpener has been very effective and my knives are sharp again. It is simple to use and small for easy storage. In summary, this is a great little gadget for a relatively cheap price.

A really good sharpener.
I've been using this for a couple of weeks now - it does the job well overall. It's compact and really easy to use. The fact it also works on serrated knives is great. It does feel slightly cheap but it's not an expensive item so no issues there. The suction cup didn't work on my kitchen worktops or table which made things slightly annoying, but it still works well. It's great to have new life in knives that have been getting less effective. It definitely gets the job done.

Sharpens and Doesnt Damage!!!
This is a really good sharpener that gets our knives back to how they were when first purchased (some even better than that). Love the suction function making it super easy and quick to sharpen your knives at any time. Good quality build and has held up well since purchase. I highly recommend it for those who need something simple and straightforward to keep your Knives Sharp. Kitchen and cooking connoisseurs may want something a little more fancy but this does the job wonderfully without damaging.

Great gadget
Wow, this is small but a fantastic knife sharpener. I’ve always avoided knife sharpeners because they can ruin good knives. However this one has saved me buying new knives. It’s so easy to use and does a fantastic job.

Transient Blade Sharpening & Product Use!
These ‘AnySharp’ knife sharpeners are in my own personal opinion the best brand & working type of this style of knife sharpener BUT the work as in the sharpening is extremely short lived leaving you re-sharpening your knives often as they scruff up & become blunt again extremely fast & I even use a honing rod with with my knives & they still dull extremely quickly! The workings of the product does sharpen your knives in an extremely handy manner but your knives are so transiently sharp, the products results remind me of those teeth whitening kits that whiten your teeth but only for a couple of hours!Yes the product is extremely easy to use & is small enough to easily store & its suction grip (TOP TIP) is pretty much un-moveable when it’s used on flat glass but it is no Whetstone!OK whetstones take a little longer to use but the results are much better & are longer lasting especially when used with a honing rod I mean I’m talking at least a month before re-sharpening, a good grit whetstone & honing rod which both are available here on Amazon by the bucketload in so many different sizes & different grits are the best, most professional & still inexpensive way to sharpen your knives this ‘AnySharp’ product is a good way to get a quick transient sharpen say for example preparing a Sunday Roast but a whetstone with a honing rod use is just far superior!Again it’s still handy to have one of these in for a quick use on a blade that’s unexpectedly blunt or on the blunt side but this product lasts for such a short time becoming blunt itself!

Surprisingly effective for knives
I have a full set of Type 301 Chroma knives - I wont say what they cost but you could buy a small car with the money. Had them for about 6 years now and great as they were they do go blunt eventually. Being very hard steel the japanese whetstone I bought is frankly a waste of time - soak 20 minutes, faff about with mess and then convince yourslf they are sharp. Frankly they are nothing like the standard when I bought them using one.Having researched everything from powered sharpeners to hand held ones, and being wary of damaging the knives, I thought I would give this a try before buying something more expensive.I tried it first with the least expensive paring knife following the video guide. Gently drawing the knife didnt make any difference and for a second I thought I had made a mistake - no change. I then exerted a bit more pressure, drew the knife back and noted a tiny metal shaving on the worktop, and that the knife was razor sharp. Certainly far sharper than it had been for years and comparable to a new replacement chroma I bought a couple of weeks previously.I then tried it with the bigger knives, and although the curve of some of them (they are all oddly or japanese shaped) sometimes makes it tricky to do end to end sharpening it isnt the tool's fault and in fact you can draw the knife 99.5 % through and across the whole business end of each of them. It did also do the bread knife as promised although I found it oddlu unenjoyable and a bit strange. Probably me but serrated edges are odd.I have read concerns re damage, using up steel edges and so on. I have not experienced any 'chipping' (in fact it has removed a few from the knives)and as for the loss of steel - well I dont see how a knife can become sharp without that happening. In addition if you have decent knives you wont have to do it every time you use them (I have only sharpened them once so far because once you have your edge back they last ages) and it only takes a fraction off. It is so refreshing to have my edges back for cooking and (sadly) isa great talking point when you demonstrate the knives (yes I know the paper trick is naff but doing it with thick plasticky paper and battery packs does impress some people ...)Overall I found it to be a superb product that needs a little practice but it has saved me a lot of money, brought my knife set back to life, and in my opinion is ideal for hard steel as it is difficult to find a domestic product relatively cheaply that can do this. The final point is practicality - I dont want a machine I have to plug - in my kitchen is full of them in what I call the blender draw. It is tiny and the size does not reflect the functionality.I am not a review writer but posted this because there will be a lot of people looking at the product and wondering (probably worried what it would do to decent knives) that will get a whole new lease of life for a tenner or so. Highly recommended.
