Exactly what it's meant to do, you can cut it down to size and yes it's a little bigger in dimension but it's flimsy enough to manipulate it to fit. Give them a try, as the price is spot on!

Advertised as 5.9 inch hose, when it arrived it was a 6 inch , so no good for me, returned

As others have said, hose is slightly larger than stated but the wire strengthening is flexible enough to get it into the fittings. Overall it works fine.
