Smooth writing. Just what I looking for

Everyone should have a couple of these because they're "tactical," right? As others have pointed out, the smooth tapered end is... smooth and tapered, making it difficult to keep your fingers from slipping from the optimum "tactical" grip, given the relatively heavy weight of the other end. In other words, you can write with it, but I wouldn't want to use it to write a novel... or even a letter. However, I don't imagine that's what most people buy these for. I'll keep one in my tactical 4x4 van and the other in my Jeep in case I inadvertently get caught up in a "mostly peaceful" zombie attack or something... and need to take notes.

This is overall a great pen, very heavy but balanced in the hand. It writes ok with the refills that were sent with the pen but would write better with a more quality refill. I am only giving it a 4 star rating due to it being difficult to grip during longer writing secessions due to it being slippery to hold onto. If it wasn't so slippery it would be a fantastic pen. I am still overall pleased with my purchase of these pens and if you can grip the slippery end of the pen this will be a great pen for you.

I carry a tactical pen on a daily basis. I like the quality of the pen for self defense. I teach martial arts so I know how to use these pens in alternatives to deadly force. The refills are a big bonus!!

Not bad but not great either. Not the greatest writing ink. But it comes with refills which is nice. The knurling is aggressive which I like. The pen feels to light and doesn’t give confidence in it holding up to abuse. If it was titanium I’d understand this. I’d rather have a solid stainless steel steel body with enough room to clear a standard pen refillable. Added weight to this would make it feel more substantial in the hand and for defense if needed. The tungsten tip is ok. Not something I’d worry about. I have a dedicated window breaker on hand in the car. I’d rather see some anodized finish than a coating. The coating will chip over time. Get it don’t get it. They will get used and it’ll do in a pinch for self defense if the time comes. But let’s be honest if you’re self defense minded this would be a last ditch use that is available to you. Good gift idea but not something I’d carry myself.

Pen writes like a charm. Everything else is as advertised. Good product!
