Great sweeper for the price. Very powerful and well engineered.
This is a great sweeper . I really like the hose and all the accessories. It would have been nice to have some kind of storage for the accessories built in but i just use some gear ties attached to the handle to store the hose and cord. The cord has a velcro strap to keep it secure and the cord is really long. It comes with a bag for the accessories that im gonna devise a way to store on the sweeper also. The suction is better than expected even when the filter is completely saturated with dirt and ash. That's what 10 amps will get ya. They don't mention it in the description but there is also secondary paper style filter on the motor so no ashes are gonna blow out in a customers house when your cleaning there fire place or gas stove for sure and the motor is protested lol. Ive had that happen with shop vacs being there is only one filter and it sucks. Especially when its soot. Great value for the money. The primary big filter is multilayered and the layer that the dust and ash hit first is like polyester and i was surprised how easy the dust and ash comes off of it. One or two taps and its clean. If its good enough for a professional like me its good for a homeowner to. Bery happy with my purchase.

Great solution for a pellet stove or drywall dust.
I have a Quadra fire pellet stove that needs cleaning weekly. We burn about 70 bags per season. Most the paper filter vacuums leak dust where the top half of the vacuum meets the tank, motor to tank. Some air escapes with fine pellet stove dust. This vacuum has a nice rubber gasket that seals the tank to the top motor cover. No air leaks. The filter is actually a piece of cloth that is easy to shake clean outside. Unlike paper filters that are hard to clan and often need replacement. It's an innovative vacuum and works well for fine ash. May be suitable for drywall dust as well.

Good for small jobs like a pellet stove.
Never owned one of these before. I had no idea what to expect. A little under-whelming suction power wise. Like a house vacuum. Not at all like a shop vac (which is what I was hoping for). The small diameter hose is a big drawback for me. If you are trying to vacuum wet/damp ashes or chunks of wood the hose will clog easily. The motor runs very hot. As soon as you turn it on, you can feel the exhaust start heating up and getting hot before you even start vacuuming. Once you start vacuuming for a little while (about 10 minutes) the vacuum will shut off because it is over heated. It overheats and shuts off very rapidly within 1 - 2 minutes if the hose gets clogged.Once it's overheated, you have to wait quite a while (about 30 minutes) for it to cool back down enough to turn on again. Best to disassemble and clean to get more air to the motor if this happens. It's like the motor is air cooled but with the filter system there just isn't enough airflow to cool it down. It's not all bad. The filter system does work fantastically. No dust at all out the exhaust.Easy to empty for me. I can just dump it down a bank and shake the filter in the yard to clean it.If you are using this for a pellet stove or small coal stove using rice or pea this will work just fine maybe even great for you. If you are trying to use this to do your annual cleaning on a larger coal fired stoker with lots of fly ash, it'll get the job done eventually but be prepared to take a few breaks while the motor is cooling down. Based on suction, anything larger than buck coal I wouldn't even attempt to vacuum up with this.Do not purchase the accessory kit. Everything in the accessory kit is already included in the box.I would rate this 4 stars for a pellet or small coal stove.. a 2 or 3 for a larger stoker.

Great suction even after several stove cleanings
I bought this to replace the one I bought three years ago for my pellet stove. The old vacuum had only a corrugated style filter which would clog quickly. That meant I had to clean the vacuum every time I cleaned the stove; I had to scoop out as much ash as possible without using the vacuum. This new vacuum has a different kind of filter system and works great. The fine ash coats the outside of the bag and never gets to the corrugated filter. It falls away easily into the canister. I have used it several times and the suction has not diminished. The attachments are very useful too. I’m very happy with it!

Works great
Got this guy based on reviews and it does a wonderful job getting the ash from my pellet stove. The accessories work well getting fine ash or buildup in the corners. The suction is very strong. The motor does get hot but that's to be expected with a vacuum. All in all this was the best purchase I've made for cleaning the pellet stove.

Works like a charm
Used it to vacuum out a pellet stove. Good attachments, strong vacuum pull, and no dust. Wait, did I mention no dust. Also, it's quieter than my shop vac.If you need a vacuum to clean up ashes, this is a great buy. It's not heavy, has wheels, and has a long cord and attachment hose.

Worked perfect
I used this vacuum to clean the ash out of an indoor wood-burning fireplace. Set-up was incredibly easy and quick. The filters worked great and absolutely no ash escaped into the house while suctioning. It had stronger suction than I expected from watching the videos. The filters were clean after emptying the bin (twice). 10/10 purchase.

Vacuum motor cover attached via flimsy [broken] plastic
I was excited to unpack my new vacuum, and initially pleased with everything seen. The hose is a nice length, the canister well-made, nice appearance and a nice size. Minutes later, I noticed that the removable black plastic motor section (cover) was actually badly broken. The outer plastic rim which seats to the canister had become completely separated from the motor unit. This was due to 1) thin plastic materials 2) inadequate top-protection within the box, 3) cold temps in transit elevate breakage risk. I've requested replacement. Hopefully the thin fragile plastic will hold up in use/over time.

Love this machine ! Has worked like a dream all year !
I loved the power of this vacuum ! So efficient and not as noisy as the last one . Great value for money . I hope the company will help me now , as the lid has a crack all around the top and , alas , the suction has dwindled ! I have duct taped the crack but it is definitely not like it was .I don’t need to replace the whole thing just the lid !

PowerSmith PAVC102 10 Amp 4 Gallon Ash Vacuum with 2 Ash Filters
I’ve had this vacuum for one month and have used it to clean out my wood stove five times. I look forward to using it. It does not have the intense suction power of a traditional shop vac, and I’m glad it doesn’t. It has just enough suction power for my needs. Perfect actually. I don’t use it to suck up all of the ash from my wood stoves firebox. No, I think that's a bit unrealistic because any way you slice it, all of that ash is going to undoubtedly block the filter and make the vacuum work harder. Although, I did try that, and it does work. I also sucked up some larger embers just to test the unit having no issues. However, the way I use this ash vacuum is; I carefully scoop out the bulk of the ash from my firebox into a bucket and have the end of the vacuum hose resting over the bucket so to suck up flying ash that is being dumped into the bucket. It does an excellent job at that without accidentally sucking in large embers like my powerful shop vac used to do. Perfect! I suck up small areas of ash, but I don’t use the vacuum to clean a heaping pile of ash from my firebox. I then hook up my central vac hardwood floor attachment to the ash vac and proceed to vacuum the wood crumbs on the floor. After all, having a wood stove is messy. The noise level of the vacuum is similar to a shop vac (possibly quieter) and acceptable in my opinion. I just wear ear plugs to protect my ears. So far, no complaints at all. I should mention that the clear plastic pellet stove attachment had that horrible chemically toxic “Made in China” smell that stunk up the entire package. However, for the past month, I had the clear plastic pellet stove attachment sitting outside and it now no longer smells.

Constantly blocks
I have owned this ash vac for just over a year. It constantly blocks and I have to use a long bamboo stick to unblock the pipe. This occurs EVERY time I use the vac, usually multiple times. I had to revert to pan and brush. Terrible.

Superbe
