I bought this mattress based on what others had said about it, but was sceptical about it based on the cheap price.First impressions was that the materials looked good quality and hard wearing, but not luxurious. No fancy silk finishes or fancy labels. I also could feel the springs through the side padding of the mattress, but later realised that this was a very positive thing, as I’ll explain.I waited 48 hrs for the mattress to expand before trying it out.In use I found it to be very comfortable. The manufacturers description of “medium firm” was exactly right, but the memory foam top made the overall feel, very pleasant.The immediate effect I noticed, was that I did sleep better and did not have to roll from side to side to get comfortable.I have suffered from chronic back pain for many months. Main reason for changing my mattress, to see if it would help.One night on the mattress, a noticeable improvement. Three nights later I woke in the morning with no back pain and have had none since.My wife suffers from hip pain and sciatica. She tells me she no longer needs night time medication. Both of us are very impressed.To get back to the springs. My old mattress, which was a lot more expensive “branded” one, had the pocket springs set back from the edge of the mattress. This meant that if you sat on the edge, or rolled close to it, it was very soft and you felt you could roll off.This mattress has the springs right out to the edge, meaning the whole mattress surface is fully supported. When you sit on the edge of the bed it feels supported and secure.In summary, while this mattress is not the most luxurious to look at, it is one of the most comfortable and supportive I’ve ever slept on. In a couple of weeks it has cured my chronic back and neck pain and I can’t believe I’m not sore in the mornings any more.I love this mattress and highly recommend it.

We had some help to carry it upstairs but then we had to deal with it.We had to move an older mattress off the bed before unpacking the mattress.Two were able to manoeuvre it onto the bed. Then I slit the wrapper and it was amazing to watch the Kraken awakening. All over in a minute or two. and it looked fully inflated.As per instructions we left it for more than 3 days before sleeping on it.Initial impression was a bit bouncy but soon overcame that.It assists a deep sleepWorth the money

Good mattress and comfortable very good price it’s firm and pretty heavy and thick. Had a good night sleep.

The quality of the mattress appears to be consistent with its price point and the UK Standard products.Upon unpacking, the initial reaction was that the mattress felt excessively soft, deviating from the medium firmness specified in the description. While it was adequate for solo sleeping, after six months of shared use, the soft and bouncy feel became excessive, making it less than ideal for couples, unless the objective is to experience a bouncy trampoline-like sensation. The springs are not noticeable, but they do not adapt to the body's pressure, resulting in frequent position changes during sleep. For these reasons, we do not recommend this product.
