Perfect replacement for a lifetime of artificial sweeteners. I have tried whole dates in coffee before, and of course eaten them before the coffee was gone, but this was a much better way to measure the sweetness I wanted. The texture or sensation of drinking this was the same as stevia or allulose, but no side effects. After years of gastrointestinal distress, gas packing up into my ribcage or under the left side of my chest, to the point of fear, sometimes lasting two or three days, this seems to be a safe way to get sweetness naturally without going too high on the carb count. It didn't take much to sweeten the coffee, and I also made a small chocolate bar mixing cocoa butter, cocoa powder, butter and a spoon and a half of this date sugar, and it was so good it got stolen out of the fridge. There is a small glitch- the "fiber" which is probably the powdered hard skin of the date - stuck to the bottom of my coffee cup like sawdust, which might be a good thing for some of us.

Very good substitute for sugar

Works great as substitute and great flavor.

Just like the date syrup, this date powder sugar as the healthiest possible sugar substitute. Love the taste of it! You need to figure out what things you can sweeten with this without interfering with the taste.

Very grainy. I am sure would be fine in baked goods but was.too grainy for other uses.

I love to bake and I wanted to experiment with different sugars so as not to use atypical, granulated sugar, hoping it would be healthier and I know this is a trusted brand that makes healthier ingredients

This is a great price for a sweetener.

I upgraded to three stars. Balance between this particular product and the seller. Original Review: It's fine. I decided to try this date sugar because a local international store stopped carrying the date powder that I like. I thought I'd give date sugar a try because of the consistency of date sugar compared to date powder. I suppose it's good for date sugar, but I much perfer the powder. I DO prefer this texture, as it fully dissolves compared to the date powder. But it doesn't taste as good. I could eat the date powder with a spoon, and it gave a nice subtle flavor to my tea/oatmeal/whatever. This adds a subtle but weird flavor that I don't care for.
