Maybe that is standard for a scale this sensitive. Not sure.I have another gram scale that came with a little tray. So if you have some ball bearings or something, you can put the tray (it has a small edge on it) on the scale and hit tare, then weigh the ball bearings without them rolling off. This unit does not come with anything like that. So if you want to weight something round, you'll have to find some solution on your own.It's a nice looking little scale and I like that it comes with a calibration weight (though all the gram scales I've seen do).Decent price.Hope this was helpful.

It was priced right and works great.

Bought this for archery. It’s consistent and precise. Works well, only down fall would be the magnets that hold the lid closed could be stronger

Excellent quality

Not good at all for small measurements. Accuracy is all over the place - weight reading jumps around like crazy.
