ClearaudioConcept Record Clamp

I ordered the Concept clamp primarily to prevent the record from slipping while using a dust brush on the record. The secondary reason - a good aesthetic match to my Performance DC turntable. I cannot detect any reduction in sound quality by using the clamp. The weight seems correct as in not too heavy or too light. It is more expensive that competing clamps but the competing clamps do not look as nice on this turntable. Overall satisfied with the product.

When I first purchased and received my Concept turntable, I was not aware it needed a record clamp. This particular clamp was made with the Concept in mind. I should mention it is more of a weight than a clamp. It allows you to apply light pressure when using a cleaning brush. There are others you can purchase, but this product is priced reasonable. It is what I wanted.

It looks wonderful compared to other options. If money is a concern there are other clamps that cost 1/5 the price that would fit the bill.

Beautiful craftsmanship, looks terrific on my turntable. Giving it an upgraded "pro" look. Does it add to quality of listening? In my opinion no, it's not heavy enough to really hold record down, and it doesn't help you with warped records. That said, it may help and I can't hear the difference.

More expensive than it needs to be. I like it because it matches my Concept but it doesn't feel half as solid as the audio-technica one I got for $40. It's paper weight with a hole in the center of it. buy it if you don't care a ton about money I suppose.

I have Clearaudio ovation TT. Bought this clamp and then bought audio-technica for $46. From my point of view the second is better.
